Charles,
M5, that's something. My friend's son in Sweden
used to own one of those with two turbos.
Nothing could catch it. He then traded it for a 850
with a V12 engine. A 1991 beauty that my friend bought
from his son and still has together with his 69 GT
Mustang Coupe.

Hi,
65 Shelby, 67 Shelby (in Sweden), 65 C-code Mustang Coupe,
88 Mustang GT conv.my daily driver and finally my wife's
daily driver a 1995 Mercedes C200 with 60K miles on it.
I am thinking about selling the one in Sweden because I
only drive it for two weeks a year and the garage space
over there cost me $1000 a year and the gas during those two
weeks another $600-700.

The repros are pretty good but I put my original
beside a repro and two things stand out,
the knob texture has a slight difference and the
C is a bit more crisp on the original.
By this post I have found out there should be
a crimp as well. Neither of my choke cables had
any. This summer I will check the one on my 67
as I know that's an original 65-66 choke cable.

Dave,
If you send me your address I'll send you a NOS
Star BF32 in the original box. No rust at all.
An early Christmas Present.
/Bo
Please note that so called Ford NOS replacement
cables are different from the factory installed
ones. They only have one rubber sleeve.
Many uears ago I bought two NOS cables in boxes
and ended up cleaning my originals instead.
/Bo
Thanks Dave,
Checked a separate set of heater cables I have and
it's just a standard crimp. How far from the end of the
spiral shield is the crimp supposed to be?
/Bo
Can somebody, please post a picture of an original choke cable
with the original crimp. Checked my 65 and couldn't find any.
Will check the original one I have in Sweden next summer.
Thanks, Bo
Hey, I am in on that as well. Live in Richardson.

Hi,
As with other dates, engine and transmission for.ex.
you must separate the cast date and the assembly date.
Cast date can be many weeks if not months prior to
assembly date. Somebody here on the forum probably owns a
car close to yours and can hopefully check their rear axles
for both cast date and assembly date on the tag.
/Bo
Was supposed to have been converted to a Shelby?
Certainly not by the factory as they were based
on cars from San Jose in 65-67.
/Bo
Hi,
The HiPo belt is 41.4" long to match the larger pulley.
I use a reproduced belt that I bought about 18 years ago
and it's marked FoMoCo and has a C5 number on it.
Can't be sure it's exactly as original.
/Bo
These springs are for a 66 HiPo Coupe,
correct? May or June car probably.
/Bo
If I don't remember incorrectly, there is a hoder on the
vent where you just clip the flasher.
/Bo
Good luck with your job searching. Know the feeling and I
retired but the way the IRA is going I may be on the job market
again soon.
/Bo
Congratulations Charles,
It's always nice to know you have the
matching block.
/Bo
Welcome aboard John,
Can you post a picture of your car.
/Bo
Congratulations Murf,
Beautiful car,
/Bo
Check AMK's home page. However, I am not 100% sure all the
explanations are correct.
/Bo
The original installed at the factory had the foam type.
The Ford NOS replacement part has a rubber sleeve that
is too narrow to fit snugly in the firewall hole.
I used a replacement from Ford, removed the rubber sleeve
and used an excellent used foam sleeve instead.
