Sounds like a nice car. What is the VIN number? Is it in the K registry? Is it a factory GT? Is it in its original colours? Could you please post the Data plate numbers.

I found a 68 Shelby GT500 KR convertible in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was in an old showroom and every time I went past it was never open. I asked a couple of Saudi's I work with to find out about it (its 1.5 hrs flight from where I'm working, Tabuk)The guy wanted $80K USD. Next time I went to Jeddah it was gone. I'm still on the lookout for it. Aparently its been around for a while and there are alot of the original bits missing. Have found 2 65 coupes also, both C code.

You may need to expand your search area. Check this one out, its in the USA and an auto. There are plenty of importers in Oz,some of which will do vehicle inspections as well. http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/692134.html

Would still like to see some pics of the VIN and data plate. I have been in the market for a 66 GT Fastback for some time now, although this one is nice its a bit pricey IMO. Is it in the registry?

Found this on Carpoint Australia. Looks nice, considering the AUD has almost reached parity with the USD, this car is approx $76,700 USD. I have asked the seller about vin numbers and some additional pics, will post the reply.http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FORD/…csn5333730.aspx

Thats to much money for a modified car. This car could be around for quite some time. We all know that a conversion to RH drive is a major modification. Because this is such a rare vehicle, should it return to the States or be purchased by a collector in OZ, it faces a conversion back to LH drive. It will be interesting to watch the price.
