Black would, at least in my humble opinion, be a very close second choice to "resale" red. Nicely done black cars just have their own special look. My first exposure to a K code was a very fast ride in a black on black 66 fastback back when I was a freshman in high school and I never forgot that ride or that car, it was what fueled my desire to someday own a K. I was 14 then and it only took me around 28 more years to finally get my own K. Sad ending to that black K by the way,as it ended up meeting a telephone pole at high speed a few years later.

Along with everything mentioned so far I would not think it would be that big a deal for the seller to put a matched set of tires on the car. Three different brands counting the spare.

The Arvinode reproduction is a great system and it sounded very good on my car with a nice bark on acceleration but I just preferred the sound of the Flowmaster system that was on the car which I reinstalled after removing the Arvinode. I am a bit of an exhaust system "nut" and have had many different mufflers on the car over the 13 years I have owned it and the combination of the unique sound of the K motor and the Flowmasters just sound the best to my ears. No knock at all on the Arvinode, it is nicely made and unique in its sound. Changing back was just a matter of preference on my part.

I am selling a base model Arvinode exhaust that I purchased from Waldron's last year. I had it on my car for one week and it had around three total hours of run time, before I removed and stored it. The system fits like a glove and was lightly clamped while on the car. All pipes slide together easily and everything is in like new condition. All of the installation orientation writing (done on the pipes with a sharpie by Waldron's) is still there and there are no clamps or hangers included with the system - just the base model pipes/mufflers/resonators as sold by Waldron. I will not ship the system so I am looking for a buyer in the general Connecticut/Mass/NY area who can pick it up. I do not mind driving a bit to meet someone half way to deliver it if necessary. I paid $400 for it and will sell it as is sits for $275. I will be traveling a lot over the next 2 to 3 weeks so I may not be able to hook up with anyone during this time, but I am just posting to see if anyone is interested.

    Thanks, Jack

If you do not have the 14" rims and are getting everything new why not upgrade to 15"? Agree with ZRAY I to have not seen anything larger that a 225-60 on the front of a 65/66. I have 15x7 TTD's with a 3 3/4" BS on my coupe with 215-65-15's all around and these work well for me and fill the wheel wells nicely. You may have to roll the fender lips with a lowered car if not already done.

My original 4100 had the soup to nuts rebuild and cosmetic restore by Pony Carbs in 2005. Never touched a thing on it - went right out of the box and onto the car. I put 1,000 to 1,500 miles a year on the car and have had zero issues so far from then to now. I also use the original Pertronix and Pertronix coil

"For what it's worth, it would sure be nice if it had a correct battery"

And it has an AC Delco battery none the less!! The correct repop Autolite would finish it off nicely for another $200. 45k for a coupe (no matter how nice it is)in this economy sure is shooting pretty high.

I have BFG T/A's 215-60-15's on 15x7 Torque Thrust D's on my K. All 4 fender lips were rolled sometime in the cars earlier life, so there are no rubbing issues at all. Very happy with the ride and handling with this combination.

How long has your dad owned the car? If it is a long term piece of family history and is original outside of the paint color there is no way this car would ever be leaving my garage. 67's are the rarest of the K's and with approx 472 made(if memory serves me correct) there are probably not a lot of automatics out of that total. As the economy recovers over the next few years the value of this car will once again rise, which will not be the case of a new GT 500. Good luck with whichever way you go.

Reviving my ancient (and occasionally faulty) memory the 64 GTO was the first car to which the term muscle car was universally applied to followed by the various big block cars from GM Chrysler and Ford. Muscle cars certainly existed before this (Chrysler letter cars, 426 Max Wedge Dodge's and Plymouths, 427 Galaxie's etc) but I believe that the general "recognized" muscle car era started with the 64 Goat

This kar has been on the Manchester Motor Cars (Manchester Ct) website (consignment I'm sure)for quite a while and is listed there for $39,900. I have seen it at various local cruises over the last few summers and while I have not gone over it in any great detail it is a very nice looking kar with no obvious issues that come to the eye.
