who is the author, Ortenberger?

-
Had many Loti, [ see the book on the 7 ] only one Elan S2 '65. But these Fords are the heart of the performance revolution at Ford. Now Ford enthusiasts have just produced the new four cam five oh, and the engineers are passionate about this motor. With good reason...what began with the HiPo 289 continues with this new V-8....!!!

-
Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't the comp Cobras fitted with earlier heads? Or were they 65 castings...? And would you comment [ anyone ] on the porting job on these heads...and would they look like the GT 40 LeMans heads.

-
Can you give us a link, or pic? Thanks..

-
What is its ratio?

-
To tell the truth, I'd have to look, it might not be either, but if the ratio would suit, it might be worth checking further, don't you think?

-
What would a cam builder adjust to help the " earlier exhaust opening," and how would it help? what would the exhaust port look like, i.e., WHERE would it be different? for hipo heads ONLY.

-
Anyone you know teardown an original Shelby Race motor and check any of those original cams?

-
Anytime you ask our forum for pricing guidance, you invariably will be asked to list details of its condition in detail, as well as every thing you can tell us of its equipment, door tag details, history, colors, etc., in short, the more detail you provide us, the better we can help address its approximate value. Congrats on having the Kar, and we hope you find a way to keep it in the family and join the passion we have for these unique, fun Fords!

-
would you take a 4.11 gear set?

-
Do you want to whet our appetites a little?! pics and info might help sell it, as a price only will be a million calls just to get this info...just a thought...good luck

The Aussie dollar is worth more, and they really like our K codes.

-
anyone notice what the K convert sold for?

-
Welcome to the site, we all here are helpful for finding new members a K code that fits you. Do you have preferences that you want to share? 4-spd, color, options, price range? etc.,?

If the engine was mated to a 4 speed and then both stamped, why were the automatics not mated to the engines and then when the engine was stamped, was NOT the C-4 stamped too? or, if they were not mated before install they went to a lot of trouble to stamp a engine and then go to the trans sitting elsewhere to stamp the exact number on it. I'm trying to figure what happened when stamped... what makes sense? anyone, ideas? anyone KNOW?

what a beautiful car!! and a very decent price, too.!!

Hagarty had twenty adjusters on site immediately following the storm, first adjusters there. or so they say.

-
check 289 hipo mustang, fourth edition, there is the first photo, of a red coupe with the 289 hipo mustang pictures, it has the wheels on it.

-
From the photos, this looks like a very cool coupe! solid, surface rust, sure, but real, not covered up, hidden, etc. Good color for the era, and interior and engine compartments look fine.... if it runs out in typical hipo fashion, I'd be happy with it in my garage. Some rust spots need addressing before they get worse, but, they are doable without major disassembly. A worthy hipo, IMHO.
