Do you have any video clips of a run of this Kar, we all would SO like you to share a run with us, it must be really cool

-
ps, I have a block that might work for you.

I would like to buy this block, and the date code is what I have been looking for. Can you email me with details and what you need?
thanks. Duncan

although buying some of the parts would be considered if you were determined to ' part it out ' , I was actually asking what you might want for the car AND the parts that came with it, so it is as complete as can be.

-
" all the parts " is a lot of parts; you have them all??? What do you want for the package

-
I am also looking for a block, I have the caps, and if it will clean and be priced right, I am in the buying.

sounds interesting, what is it lacking to be original? that, is the $64,000.00 question.

Welcome, Bob. We have some history, as that early 4-door Fairlane came from me. You came out to the ' country ' and bought that beauty, showing your knowledge and passion to me and I am pleased you still have it. Of course, I have your wonderful book, a must for any hipo fan. I hope you find the helpful and fun.

All is well, I got a pump. Thanks, all

-
ahhhh....There's the rub.... Have you looked in all the places that might have a build sheet? Failing that, and without other info from previous owners, there are places on the car that might reveal the original paint color, but little else. Good luck.

welcome and am working on the sound bite, have you any pics of your car you can share with us? or description?

Who has all these FANTASTIC cars????

-
So I had this great experience with a board member
He had the barn-find of the century, of sorts, and went to great lengths to help me. The Kar had/has issues, but none were hidden, and in the end, I drove the car home from the hauler's dropoff. I made a leap of faith and my faith was justified. So ask others about the proposed transaction, perhaps privately with other members, and keep trying. It's worth it in the end. -
Crane moved the whole company to Daytona in '85. But they sold a lot of products; heads cranks and of course, cams.

-
So I bought this 289HP crank, [ they say ], and it is stamped with crane and also c 3167. Does anyone know of Crane's involvement in building hipo race parts back when??? the eBay # is 300076599614.

Whats its history?

First, congrats on having a K code down under. Your problem has several solutions, depending on your urgency. Certainly anything to get the Kar moving has its appeal. But, if you have other things you want to do to it, and want to go to the trouble and expense, of finding/assembling a hipo, [ even tho its not the one that came in the car ], your Kar will be happier
, and I think, so will you. Its value, IMHO, will be greater. This forum will help you get to a completed engine, if you wish. I know I will.
