the guys selling this on ebay might also make one that fits the hipos. I'll try and find out.

does anyone know if a " standard H-pipe" fits a hipo- exhaust manifold equipped 289 Mustang?

performance at any cost is a personal choice, but HIGHER performance is a good thing, since everything wears out!!! get the better stuff, we aren't puting 15-20k miles on our cars per year, get great performance, thats what they were conceived for and what they do best. The better pads have their faults but in the end, lopo pads are just that. imho.

Your converter may be faulty. Compare other known converters with howyours works and there may be a subtle but clear difference. Good luck

I know the seller and I think he was just as surprised. Yes, they were incomplete!!

Welcome, and good luck. You need a dampner, which is available after market, and hipo/boss rods, which can be found on ebay or this site; exhaust manifolds, fan, shroud, pulley, and waterpump [aftermarket]. These are easy to be found. enjoy and keep us in the loop.

I was hoping the stickers, or decals, would still be made, I'd be a buyer for a bunch, the shirt idea is good, tho I would prefer a white polo with the logo sewn on more of a custom thing. If someone comes up with a way to take shirts we send and sew the hipo emblem on them and possibly a name, that would be the ultimate. I am partial to the higher quality pima cotton polos LandsEnd sells, they are reasonable, soft and available by mail. I would commit to several of those
anyone else? I am not a hat person

I talked to my long time Amsoil supplier, Len Pearson in Auburn, WA, and he confirmed that ALL Amsoil oils were synthetic and were NOT suitable for break-in. They ARE the toughest oils for long-term use, and are stable for long periods of time, [ i.e., long storage]. Any input for break-in oils??

-
I remember hearing, a long time ago, when Synthetics first came out, that a brake-in oil was good to begin with, and then switching to the synthetic after that. The beginning oil is the critical oil and I will try to get an answer for that question.

He says the engine and trans are not right, he will throw in a top loader and bell housing. which top loader??? oh well, it may pan out.
-
I think it is a great idea, why don't you contact them and offer some of the ideas that were floated for the T-shirts, and get a quote ... surely, 500-1000 would be gobbled up if the price were right? eay?
-
Are the rearend and tranny from your car, or not? What is missing, every bit is important, as you know? Fan, pulley, non-GT? Thanks.

We need more info, 4 spd close ratio?, color codes, etc., etc.

Halon is getting hard to find because its been disapproved by someone under some circumstances.[ like jet liners, I think]. Good luck

And for those of you who are recent members, or new to these kind of forums, there is a silent killer of engines working its way into the shelves of your local " oil supply " store. For emmisions sake, the reformulation of nearly everything from the majors is lacking essential ingredients that prevent older, [and even some newer! ] engines from failure, esspecially the cams. Some of the treads explain it I think, but do your homework, cause you have been warned!!! ps, I uses it on my hair, too!! no, just kidding, but I'm a confirmed AMSOIL user.

which heads aare you talking about?

I'm with Tony. Some of the colors offered were repugnant to me, and there are so few cars that you might not ever get a shot at your color. The car's the thing, and in the end, colors can be brought back, but THE KAR, THE KAR is the thing. Take an unpopular color, put it right for you, and enjoy it. you will find more buyers for the popular colors than those looking for a correct but ' ugly' color and might pass on yours. Restomoding ain't in it. The good stuff is in there where it counts, and YOUR color is YOUR bonus.
There, I said it. my 2 cents.
