The F code carb is the 4 speed, and C code is the automatic, right? I don't have my book handy.![]()

The Dealer with this car said $30,000.00 would buy it!!!!
I'll bet it will. Quite original appearing, IMHO. -
A very original and, EARLY Kar like this would still be sweet when finished. Maybe not everyone's FIRST choice, but how many choices do we have at the moment? How many first choices are for sale, and for how much. Do the Kar, and drive it until there is something to trade up for, a hedge against the inflation pressure here won't go amiss, IMHO.

Peace and Blessings to all!!

Merry Christmas to one and all!!

-
NOW, we all want to know what are you going to do??

-
Pretty amazing barn find, some work ahead, but for an early Kar, pretty nice!!

I also would keep the color combo, a refreshing change to all the red repaints!! The original engine might be better on the shelf, with a Mex capped hipo clone engine to wear out. As a friend of mine said, " you can't get another original for your Kar, and these things do wear and sometimes break!! This last part depends on how much you drive it, and how worn it is already. [ If it has been bored twice and is now .060 over, save what you have!!] Then, HAVE A BALL!!

Can you do an Identical one to your poster with a color change and some text additions? my Kar needs a colorful picture as a restoration goal!!

I am looking for a hipo automatic, C-4, for my K vert. The original seems to be gone
Any help would be appreciated. -
Oops, you /did give that, didn't you? You say it was last SEEN in Kansas in '91?

-
You might need the VIN # to get much further.

-
And, as I have said elsewhere on this site, if you haven'tdriven one you might be misled into thinking they haven't virtues of a coupe/fastback. They do, and more!!

Drive one, you'll see what I mean!!
-
Take some pics as it sits buried in the garage, sorta like a barn find!!
-
elsewhere on this site someone said the convertible was lacking in good looks,[ my words], compared to the fastback. I take issue with that opinion. They are different, but a good performing convertible with something approaching balance, was new to the US market. I love the looks of the fastback, but the purpose of the convertible was a little different from the fastback, and delivered a different experience than the fastback. My '65 GT350 was crisp and responsive, honest and agressive, the epitomy of the K fastback. But the crispness and responsiveness was/is also found in the convertible. Many fastback fans have never experienced the convertible, I'll wager, and therefore are ignorant of its virtues. Try one, you'll find out what I'm talking about.

I remember walking into Loftus Ford in Hinsdale and seeing a Cobra, and I think a GT350, for the first time. I lived next door in Western Springs then. The car was stunning to a college kid with no money. Too many moves since then to keep what literature I'm sure I picked up. Sorry, but good luck.

If we have hard evidence that a Kar has been destroyed, can we inform the " custodian " here to show it " destroyed " so that it doesn't appear as a Kar later?

-
Did he mean a " sound track of a hipo with its original arvinode
system intact, running? ". -
I think Charles was refering to the exhaust system BEHIND the manifolds. Not from the heads back. And the H-pipe was subtly different, but there is a difference, I understand.
