Well, my buyer has had financial reversals for the moment, so I am lowering my price again; NEW PRICE $31,000.00 Trade for a Fastback K stick or auto in good condition. This has got to be the right car for someone on the exchange. :D:D

guys, I must mention here the BIG bad boy, wear. everything before had ZDDP in it, it cost nothing back then, and it was THE ingredient that prolonged life. No matter what you run with gas/diesel, this ingredient was what stopped wear, and allowed us to enjoy trouble-free, long life in our beloved rides. If you don't know about it, you can find info elsewhere on this site, and other places. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT, please respond, we need a dialoge right here in river city, I don't pretend to know everything about this ubject , but have been exposed to it, and I think we all need to be on the same page, IMHO. Wear appears anywhere metals, particularly cast iron contacts, through oil coating, other metals.

This is a little wordy, but, hey guys/gals, heads up, ya hear? Response?

    D.

I had a similar experience with a hipo block/caps. They dropped the box, caps feel out, they covered up the damage with tape,[ remember, the recipient didn't pack it/them and doesn't know what they looked like when shipped] recived them, and put a claim in for the caps; you guessed it; $100.00 was all they were liable for the damage/loss. The shipper didn't insure them , saving a few bucks. The lesson; ALWAYS insure for at least what you would have to pay for them in a spendy ebay transaction, plus the shipping and the insurance, and the lost time, etc. Tough lesson.:evil:

Fred, I have ALL the quick steering stuff in it, so the quick ratio box is in it. I think no power steering is the way to go, at this point, it comes off easily enough. Putting a different steering box, with the shaft, etc., is too much when it steers like a hipo without the PS. Thanks to all for the great input.

I drove my restomod 66' vert yesterday, and when I really got on it, as speed built up rapidly, the steering felt so over powered that it was hard to keep in a straight line. I'm considering going back to manual, and it already has the quick steering kit, ratio, and Shelby lowering, any suggestions about what I need that is additional and how this needs to be done? Thanks in advance, I am getting close!! :D:D

I have lowered my price on my ' barn find ' convertible, shown elsewhere on this site, new price; $33,000.00. Someone must have the ability to restore this very unique and desireable GT converible, one would think? Come with the provenance, papers, and rust, all quite original. send a PM if you like. I have too many projects to finish.:D:D

With the car moving at a ' good' rate, the shifter in "low", and a 3.50 or 3.70, even 3.90 rear ratio, it will stay in that gear, second, through a wide speed range for the twisty, winding bits. While noone will claim it is as good as the four-speed under these conditions, its still quite exhilarating, and easy on the clutch leg in heavy traffic.:D:D

Asley, if you are interested in a project resulting in a very rare HiPo GT automatic 66' with original paperwork, drop me a line. One of your mates in Aussie-land is interested too, you might get it instead. send a private mesage. 8):Dthanks, Duncan

I think this car has a non- "C" trans, I looked into it before, if I am not mistaken. Check very carefully, ask a forum member to inspect it. It is a very decent price if the TRANS is correct, C servo C-4's are very hard to come by, IMHO. Touch base with me if I can help.

    Cheers.
