Just a heads up, but if you consider ANYTHING other than absolute stock size, i.e., for show, then I recomend 15" rims, in a width and offset that matches your car. 65 Shelby's had 15" rims and I put 15" on my convertible, and they fill the wheel wells very nicely and there are a lot of choices in high performance radials that might not be offered in a 14" . Wow!!! you got it right!!! Nice looking, I must say

I have bought them, tho wider, soooo mine are not the original size and didn't think you cared about them. Mine are pretty good, and I got them out of Oregon. I am happy with them, but didn't scrutinize them closely, they look fine to me

AND.....what satisfaction!!!

Your gas must be of a higher quality than ours, I have first hand experience with old gas " gumming up the works ". The small filter at the carb has filled up in a short time aftr the gas sat a year, even with new gas added.

A real bummer. There many good rebuilders out there, some cost more than others. My engine was done by Bliss Performance near Tacoma. [ no, he doesn't do Toyota's] Dave Bliss, semi-retired but reasonable, and has built incredible engines for many of us in the NW. That doesn't get your engine back, tho. Makes you realize just how important a rebuilder is, with the parts being so dang expensive, not to mention hard to find. Pay a little more for some peace of mind, don't you think?

Far better, I believe, its good for a very long time, too.

You should be ok on the oil issue, IMHO,but I would put PRI-G in the tank, it will really keep things in the fuel system from going bad, and I would run it for a while with a good dose in the tank. I will be doing it to my cars and boats for the winter. Anyone else?

As of today, I have not recieved your email, wanna try again??

Jeff, your info is nothing short of GREAT! Bob's research is the real deal, too, of course. Now to find someone willing and able to help me in a place called Witby, Ontario, Canada. wish me luck, I really need to know what I have or don't have in this tranny.

there is no tag, so that goes by the board. The servo [ C ] is visible, so I am left with two items to check, what should they look like?

-
could you post pics of this Falcon?, we need to be educated on something many of us have never heard about.

With the supply being so limited, and therefore choices, prices may remain fairly high, tho a seller that is getting impatient might entertain an offer; remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

-
Thanks for the heads up, Jeff,I will see if that can be done, tho how far apart it must go is over my pay grade. Anyone know?

-
SORRY, no i FOUND one that I need help with the transaction.

Pala, never fear, we will hold on!! Your K auto GT is here somewhere, but smart K owners who don't NEED to sell are waiting for things to settle down. [ aren't we all???] Steady as she goes, and we will weather the storm.

Hello all, I have finally found and am purchasing my hipo automatic. Problem; he lives in Ontario, CAN., and I need a helper to give him my check and pick it up. I am very uneasy about sending a check off, no matter what the circumstances, as a general rule. This is no reflection on the seller, a hipo member, but I have been recently ripped off for many 10's of thousands of dollars, and I must be careful, so is there anyone near Toronto, or New Hampshire, that might receive this and help with the transaction?? It's a long way to fly from seattle---and back!! Thanks all.

Thats the spirit, drivethat 401K, at least part of it.

The early hipo's came with drum brakes all round, disc's came later, as an option. anyone else? Dates of offering discs?

Well, its so quiet, lets open things up with GREAT DRIVES. Finally.... Finished the 66 vert, the once was 6 cyl., a wanna be waiting for IRONMAN parts. With the Bliss Performance stroker 347, and the Brian Fortner C-4, ahead of the 3.25 locker 9", and in its original color Emberglo metallic clear coat, and original style Pony two tone interior, barking through extra large stainless tri-Y's, then through Magnaflow X-pipe exhaust, she was ready for a serious drive. My friends who take a trip every fall in their original Cobra's; 289 and 427 sideoiler; let the Dearborn 4 seater join the procession. We went back roads most of the way, and it was sunny, until the Marine layer clouded overhead. Up came the new Cloth convertible top, while the Cobra drivers huddled in their topless surroundings wearing backup down-filled garments. Cannon Beach, Oregon, was the destination, and with perfect weather, the drive, and the sounds, there was a ridiculous smile on my face the whole way. My wife was happy, too. ( ear plugs a must here ). No breakdowns, and two marvelous car drives, one there, one back by another route. Like the days of uncrowded cruising in the 60's, this was what these cars are all about, thumbs up from one end to the other. Its in the driving these beauties that well get the full sensory experience.
