The only difference was the shape of the bolt where it rests in the notch of the long part of the rod. the Boss' bolt end is football shaped with a curve also forged into the rod itself, so the two mate and the bolt won't rotate. Hope that answers your question.![]()

Does anyone have some storage available for my new K coupe to rest after the Birmingham gathering? I am considering bringing my son with me to the event!!

please send A private message if you like. We would drive down from upstate NY. We would have to fly back to Seattle right after. Would get the Kar at a later date.

There are those of us who don't have the expertise to help with the technical side of this effort....frankly, it's beyond us... my older generation can't get our arms around it....its beyond me and , I'm guessing,... beyond others as well. the costs are a mix of financial and time/techical effort. ...You out there, that can help the later, well, we salute you and ask for your support as well... I hope you will.

Here's the deal......This site is really important to us. If you are reading this, it has value to you and therefore your financial support is owed. Really. The amount is up to you, yes these are hard times, but even a modest amount spread over the membership would go a long way to ensure this site continues to be the best source for our needs and our enjoyment. $25, $10, $100, what you can manage, but SOMETHING.....come on PEOPLE.. This is an unsolicited pitch from one member..... Lets all get with the program. Cheers..!!

I just made a successful update, so all must be well, cheers!

What DRAMA !! Finally, yes it is mine. I am a little numb, but it seems the gods were with me and I found a way to make it happen. I don't know if any of you have wrung your hands over whether or not you should make the leap, but for me, it was the second big leap for a hipo, the first for an exquisite convert that needed a restoration, and the second, needing nothing. I am relieved and very happy. Now..... transportation.... anyone able to help??

-
It may be that I need my hipo coupe brought from New York state to the west coast [Seattle] sometime this year. Anyone have plans that might help with a lift?

-
Kevin wasn't willing to pay enough, so he passed on the Kar. There is much interest on the Kar now that it has been relisted on E bay.If anyone wants it, they can jump on it on ebay.

-
I think I can safely say, " it's mine ", as the transaction is in process. The convert may be gone, [knock on wood] too, a wonderful Kar in the right hands. Still waiting for confirmation.

I am concerned about ANY hipo that has no number on the block must be ASSUMED to be non-original. Can that be an accurate assumption, and if not, why not.

-
As a followup, and to be sure it works for us members, I selected the donations paypal button, filled in the amount, $100.00 and sent it. seems to work OK. Now for those of you shy of the mark, time to do the same. Lets give it up for the hipo exchange.!!!

-
Well........... how about checking out the homepage of the Exchange?

-
In your " expert opinion ", did ANY slip through without the stamping, or were ALL stamped and then something happened? I thought there were some bonifide original Kars , that did NOT have the stampings. Inquiring minds want to know.

-
What is the consensus on 66 K-codes and whether or not ALL had the VIN stamped on the block?
