I think having the original type/style on the shelf is huge....put anything in the sucker that will fit without modification, but for heaven sakes, have what it had originally on the shelf.... its too hard to go scrambling to find it when the buyer is standing there with cash in hans and you say, " oh, as for that I'll go get that and then we have a deal, right?"..... NOT... he's not going to hang... anyone else????

Does it have the original C servo cover, with Ford logo? This is the most usual swap that degrades the value significantly. The internals are also or concern, if it has ever been rebuilt, the norm was to swap rather than rebuild what you have. Good luck.

The owner claimed his was among the last LAX cars, and that they used it for some promotional " race car " rides, that it was fitted with a " comp " engine, painted red, and that this car was used to take some children with disability for a ride in a race car. Carroll was supposed to have driven it himself for thes events. Who's to know...

So I saw a green/gold GT350 last evening......it had outboard driving/headlights....owner said the large " Z " on the original ? vin tag indicated the peculiar arrangement of the lights . Car quite original, nice patina, he swapped the engine out to preserve it, had a 302... but big dampner, pulley, etc., ...just wondering if anyone can authenticate the " Z "?

An opportunity arose.... to keep my marriage together!!

These heads came off of a complete used engine bought for the early hipo/Cobra block, and was running, so they are complete, with valves/springs/retainers. around $1100 if you please, plus shipping.

This hipo coupe is rare from several points of view. It was ordered from the factory with all the options available with the hipo. It is the beautiful Autumn gold, with black pony and black factory hard top. This car got a fabulous paint job in the 90's as well as a correct drivetrain rebuild, The car has all the original panels, and original interior in very fine condition. It has the buck tag, and I will try to upload some pics. I have come to realize the rarity of the true auto hipo, as so many have unknowingly had the C4 swapped for an ordinary C-4. The few left are such a small percentage of hipo's ever produced, and the surviving hipo's so few of those produced, that there may be only a thousand or so surviving. This car is so original, underneath there is just some dust, no undercoating. Tags are all intact. For someone who is into original mustangs, this hipo is in elite company. Yes, it is a Coupe. Offers near $31K. Thanks . oh... mileage near 70K I think...

Not familiar with that site, do know of them?

-
oops, wasn't finished......the gas out there, especially if you use PRD-G in the tank to stabilize the quality, you can bear the slightly higher C/R and the sound and power is better.....IMHO...

Well, if you are going to run everything pretty stock, i.e., stock carb, exhaust, etc., you might want to target 10.75, give or take, with the one proviso;...Pertronix. Get their best product and it will fire, less misfire,

I'm glad to hear that...Yes the Ford sounds are really, fine, I am goin g to see if I can get my vert on adigital recording and on to the site, my great challenge, tech spkg...

Poor marketing, that shot should've been deleted and retaken.IMHO

come guys, we can pick apart anything here, I feel a real Shelby GT350 in any shape, that can go down the road, is a wonder thing, I wish I had mine back, even when it was in primer, it had the urgency of one with great paint. Shifting? well , that's a personal thing, a matter of taste to some degree, don't you think??

-
no kidding.. you could keep him in mind, and do what you can to hook us all up

My little optioned out K auto coupe is very sweet, and quick too! and I have seen or heard of very few auto K coupes. I had the convertible, which I still feel is the epitome of GT offerings in the day, a more dynamic automatic was not available from ANYONE back then. Today you have paddleshifting in everything from Ferrari on down. These automatics are faster than a manual, tho not as satisfying to many old heads. But to have offered the hipo C-4 for so few cars is a highwater mark for Ford high performance and the Mustang in particular. Maybe not for everyone, but how many of you have even witnessed, let alone driven the real deal?

I have a complete set of 63 hipo heads, off a long block [ 5 bolt ] I bought a while back. I had them sold @ $1250 but he faded, so they are available for that, or???? They aren't even cleaned, and the springs, retainers, valves are still installed.

A relay is the smart way to go...
