over the years, I've driven quite a bit in the UK [ well, for a yank ] and there are times when on the motorway, that I drove for quite a stretch and the steady throttle would give optimum mileage. But inevitably there is much town driving and traffic is pretty slow, as in BAD. I would think your mileage is in the ball park. JUST DRIVE IT AND SMILE....:D:D

Does it still hunt when driving at a steady state? have you checked for vacuum leaks? Also, the mileage you are getting might be close to our mileage. If you have the 3.89 rearend, this would also point to greater consumption..... I can't speak directly to adjusting the 4100, others might, but if the tip in is smooth, with no stumbling, then you have a good thing going. In the states, many of us with " restomods", that is, Mustangs that we have modified to meet our needs and wishes without regard to authenticity, have installed lower ratios. I have a 3.25 LSD in my convertible, 'cause I have a C-4 automatic. That lower ratio can have a very big impact on mileage, lowering your revs per mile. Performance suffers of course. The slight loss of mileage is the cost of performance. I wish you good luck in your quest. I dream of bringing my car to travel to Goodwood and experience this wonderful event.:D:D

    oops, the text... oh yes...

I think the gears would be 3.89, also called 3.90's. and if you shift @ 6,000 RPM or slightly higher, you should see times drop and speed increase. Try it and see what you get, and then report back to us with the results, we ARE interested.

our cylinder heads and stamped blocks are irreplaceable. But if they have major damage, DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY ! I recently had two very large exhaust manifolds repaired by a local guy after a quote of $14,300 to replace them.... This local guy [ Auburn, WA ] does work on antique and race motors that have blown up.

he made a very nice repair to the manifolds and they are working perfectly.... Aluminum Head Welders 253-931-1148 If you want to save these parts:D:D

I have followed the Arvinode system with great interest, and was wowed with the youtube clip and the sound produced. But my car has a 347 in it and I have a larger tube system. I would like to know if the parts producing the sound can be fit to a 2" pipe system, or do they need to be sized down? many of us with cars not following the letter of the orginal design are searching for the right sound, and the Arvinode sounds very like what I and others might want, should it be do-able..... anyone else?:D:D

probably made a couple grand.....but the real cause might be delayed fallout of this economy.... there is a lot of that going on... and I'll bet some of us have at least thought about selling in order to bring order, or what ever......I know, I've had multiple disasters force me to make decisions, tough ones, and I thought I had insulated pretty well......stuff happens....family first...hang in there guys, and DRIVE THOSE BEAUTIES !!!!:D:D
