I did a search here on the site and discovered that all HP carbs have the 11-5-63 date stamped on the underside. What is the history behind that stamp and is it an indicator of a true HIPO unit? This carb I have also has the C5OF-J stamp and appears authentic

Continuing to revive an old thread....does anyone have experience running a C4GF E on a stock spc Hipo? Same issue here, I dont want to spend the 5k for a carb. Realize that they are substitutes. Wondering what the better substitutes are?
