Thank you all for your kind complements, it does mean a lot to me as this Kar has been a part of me for a long time - since 1997 - and the process has not been the easiest. Wish I could have bragged about doing all the work myself in a cold garage with a set of hand tools from Walmart - but I have not... just paid for other more competent people $$$

I plan on uploading more pictures eventually in the Scrap book section, but knowing myself that will take a bit of time...!

Right now the Kar is hibernating in my garage, and I cant wait to wake it up sometime in April!

I agree with you regarding the transmission, probably an auction house error - however, it seems like a very low price for this kar?

According to Tony Gregory's book kars ordered in 1964 could be delivered with 15 inch Steel wheels as a rare option - does anyone here have any info/knowledge of these wheels?

I am interested in knowing who manufactured these wheels, pictures and in particular any info on offset/backspace.

Is it correct that K-Code engines had exhaust manifolds originally installed without gaskets?

That Kar looks like a great find! Is it driveable as is, or are there many issues that got to be looked into?

My 1964 1/2 K-Code is getting closer to be finished - although there have been some delays lately, so not sure when it will be back on the road, but hopefully this year...

All the hard work has been done, now it is assembly time - and in that regard I have some questions.

My Kar is a black on black hardtop, it has two-point seatbelts, a Rally Pac and a radio, and that's about it when it comes to options. Dearborn built and delivered new to California. Scheduled build date June 13 1964.

The car was complete when I bought it back in 1997 - I am the first titled owner in Norway. I know nothing about its history.

What I would like to know:

- It has a side mirror on the driver's side only, was a passenger side mirror an option?

- It does not have a window washer fluid system, and I am pretty sure it has never had one. Was this optional, or a delete option?

- It does not have the vertical front and rear bumper guards (and I quite like the way it looks without them), would/could it have been ordered that way?

-It does not have the quarter panel scallops, should it or was that an option or option delete?

I would say give it a nice paint job - guardsman blue is an incredibly nice exterior color, and if the interior is like new then I think the exterior has to match.

Congratulations on your purchase! I have a black on black 64 1/2 Koupe which is being restored as we speak, and should be back on the road on in May/June. Can't wait...!

It is a black on black 1964 1/2 hardtop, engine has been rebuilt, chassis/body repaired and painted - and hopefully most of the parts needed has now been purchased.
