Thanks Jim
This C5ZZ looks like it might be an early repro.
Going to have the flange on the original ground so it will seal
properly.
Thanks Jim

Is this casting number correct for a Hipo exhaust manifold.
Replacing the C4ZE due to a bad flange.
Thanks
For all your Ford carb Q & A check out Ed's Carburetor

Great site.
Having a hesitation problem on launch with the 4100 on my K.
Gonna check the float levels.
What is the correct level for the primary float?
I read a post on VMF calling for .875 primary and 1" secondary.
The carb is a 1.12 Hipo clone I recently purchased from Pony Carbs in
New Mexico.
Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback.
The 570 Holley seems like it suffers from a poor idle circuit.
Hestitation / stumble on launch.
Rejetting solved most of it.
Still has a flat spot while accellerating.
Gonna play with it over the holiday.
Running a Holley 570 Avenger on my 66 K
Not real happy with it.
Basically a stock motor with A/T.
Don't have the original Autolite 4100.
Thinking on spending $$$ at Pony Carbs for a clone of the 1.12
Autolite.
How do the Autolites perform?
Anyone purchase one of these reworked carbs from Pony?
Thanks for the feedback!
Wish I had known about the threaded galley plugs.
Hindsight is 20/20.
I'll know more about the extent of the damage
after I pull the heads. Some awful sounds came out
of it before I shut it down.
#5 exhaust valve assembly seized.
Kinda expect piston to valve damage.
Standard oil pump.
Yes, I've spoken with builder,he said he'd "fix it" although he didn't seem the least bit remorseful about it.
I don't want him working on my motor after what has happened.
Basko came highly recomended but this is just poor attention to
detail.
I'll likely reassemble the motor myself.
Lost an oil galley plug on my fresh K engine during a test drive.
Cooked the motor. Same one I posted about regarding loose rocker
arm nuts. Sloppy work by BASKO ENGINE SERVICE in Gilbert,AZ
Thought I'd give them some free advertising.
Thanks for the feedback.
Fresh engine but the shop didn't install new nuts.
A couple others wre loosening as well.
Motor has less than an hour on it.
Yikes...Hope that's all there is to this.
Having a problem with a rocker arm nut loosening.
I'm replacing all 16 to be safe.
Is 5-15 lbs torque correct for a hipo?
Thanks
Have a scuffing sound coming from the speedo.
Not sure if it's the speedo head on the cluster or the
cable itself.I lubed the cable before installing it.
Anyone exp this problem?
Thank you
Dave
Found one locally today.
Thanks for the replies.
Need a Hipo balancer.
Engine builder just informed me that mine is bent.
Need a good part.
Thanks
Dave
Need 66-67 Hipo Flexplate
C4OZ-6375 C
C4OZ-6385 E
C4OZ-6375 E
Thanks
Thanks for the info.
Looks like I'll have to live with an imbalance situation
unless I pull the motor.
This all came to light when I removed the tranny for rebuild and
discovered the wrong flexplate.
That explains the vibration issue.
Since I don't have the correct flexplate for my motor
can I have a standard 289 plate balanced to Hipo specs?
Will it have to be balanced on the motor?
Thanks for the feedback.
Can I have my flexplate balanced to Hipo specs?
I will be using a C3AZ-6375-L plate.
Do the C4 equipped Hipo's use the same flexplate
as other 1966 289 auto cars?
Thanks
