Brian, I am just now completing the assembly, boxing and shipping of the second run. I have already gotten approval from the rebuilders for a third run and I have already started collecting cores for that run.

Fred, Are the parts used by the company that is rebuilding the fuel pumps compatible with today's gasoline?

Motorcraft makes a temp sender that appears to work well with my 1965 NON-GT temp gauge. Motorcraft part# SW-925, Ford service part# D0OZ-10884-A, 3/8NPT, 260 stamped on hex, #8 stud. I purchased the sender awhile back from my local Ford dealer for about $10.00. The only minor problem is I had to make an adaptor so the #8 stud will fit the #10 connector on the wiring harness.
-
260* F sender appears to be logical. 50/50 mix of antifreeze & water boils at approx. 223*F combined with the 13# radiator cap which adds pressure to the cooling system(every pound of pressure raises the boiling point of the coolant 3*F)boiling point: 223*plus13x3*=262*
-
Chose a fan spacer that provides a minimum of 1/2"- 1" prefered clearence between the fan blade and the radiator core.

I see a Ford drawing made into the article..........<img src=images/icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have Motive exhaust on my car, there is loose baffle inside the RH muffler that knocks/bangs disappointed in the quality.

The mufflers are made by a very reputable company for Motive, but obviously things like this can happen. We have sold hundreds of sets and have never had a problem with mufflers as you describe. If it did occur though, I am sure that it is something that could be taken care of and replaced.

Great, Can you forward a contact at Motive that can resolve my concern?

I have a 1963 289 Hipo fuel pump for sale $750.00 + shipping.

Engineering change MF394690 added a color code to both the front & rear shock absorbers.
-
The TSB helps to confirm the correct part numbers. The flare on the upper bell of the rear shock is shown as optional.
Can you post some pictures of the shock absorbers you have?
I noticed they show the rear leaf springs are identified with paint stripes.
-
I don't know, there could be more.
A note from Bob Mannel: None of the MPCs list the special handling package directly for 1965 Mustang, only the 289 Special.
-
The information I have shows 7 different rear shock absorber engineering part numbers & 3 different front shock absorber engineering part numbers. The shocks listed above are shown to be applicable to Special Handling Packing, 289-4V High Performance.
-
Have you seen these shock absorbers on other non K Code 1965 Mustang.
-
Thanks, that helps to confirm what I have K-Code Mustang shock absorbers were indeed different.
The original shock absorbers had AUTOLITE stamped on them.
Model Year 1965: C5ZF-18045-B Shock Absorber Assy. Front
Model Year 1965: C4ZF-18080-C Shock Absorber Assy. Rear
The stamping on the shock absorber you have is correct.

No service parts, bonafide factory originals as installed when the K Mustang rolled out of the assembly plant......Looking for the part number stamping on the shock absorbers.

Does anybody have a bonafide original front/rear shock absorber for a 1965 K code Mustang?
