Do you still have it? I know it's been quite a while. I believe you have sold the caps so just the block? I'm still interested. Terry

I know it's been awhile, any follow-up? Thanks
I want this block!

Ironically, that's where I picked up my 67 motor, out of an old street rod about 15 years ago, not as complete as yours. You scored a dandy!

Need a little help on a date code. I have a balancer that looks like it's "I" 4. Thought Ford did not use the letter "I" on date coding. I know it's not an L as I have another that's dated November. Both balancers are C5OE. Any ideas. Thanks, Terry100_7489.jpg

Seen the article on Antilla's Fairlane. I've had a K Code Sport Coupe for 35 years.

Sure, 231-873-4243, Hart, Michigan. I purchased it probably 12-15 years ago near Detroit. It caught my attention because it was a VIN stamped block. I don't recall how I found the listing. Once I had it torn down I had the block and crankshaft magnafluxed. The block came back with a small crack in a water jacket and one near the lifter valley. They are not visible by the eye but showed up on the test. I then decided to part it out. I kept the block, minus the caps, just because of the VIN stamp. I believe it's still standard.

Just seen this thread for VIN's. Had this block for along time, no history. Be nice to find the original owner. May be salvageable.

I'll stick it back in the corner if you ever change your mind. I was hoping you were closer. I totally understand, I'm the same way. I'm sure if your patient you'll find what your looking for. If I see something listed, craigslist, whatever, I'll send it along. I spent years chasing parts for my Fairlane, that's half the fun. Terry

I have a 66 VIN stamped block dated 6G20. I purchased it years ago. Upon teardown I had the block and crank magnafluxed. The block came back with a crack showing in the water jacket on the rear of the block (you can't see it) and a small one if the lifter valley, also not visible by naked eye, but it showed up on the test. I ended up parting out everything. Given the newer developments in crack repairs, epoxies, etc. I think it could be repaired. There's no caps, those were sold long ago. VIN decodes it was a fastback. It's yours if you want it. I think it's still standard, I'd have to check.
Looking at shipping it might not be viable.

Yank05, where are you located? Don't buy that block quite yet.

Don't scrap the block if you have sold the caps, I may be interested in block minus caps. Thanks, Terry
Is there any update on this post?
