Use the cobra intake without the spacer, otherwise you may have hood clearance issues.

I bought a diaphram clutch from John's Mustangs in Houston. It is a very light pedal and a very smooth clutch. Designed for cruisers, not performance driving. I like it a lot - no chatter and extremely smooth. I would probably go with a centerforce if I wanted to run it hard.

Are any of your bell housings the larger size that accomodates the Hi Po flywheel?

I see them on Ebay all the time and I think I have one, too. I will check and see.

Great job guys!!!! The new book is a winner and thanks for putting my car at the top of page 57. I can't say enough about the quality of the data.

I don't see a lot of these for sale used, but check on Ebay. AMK products sells them new.

I have done the same thing with good success. One hint though... screw the canister on before applying the decal. If you don't, it might wind up on the back side of the canister.

There are a couple of bends in the carbboard that allow it to collapse. They are on the sides of the box and fold inward if my memory serves me.

At one time Marti Auto works was selling the screw covers. I don't know if they still have them.

Interior Decor Options refer to the commonly called "Pony Interior". I would assume that the first color is the primary color of the seats, the second color is the inserts on the seats, and the appointments apply to the dash pad, carpet and seat belt color.
It is interesting to note that many of the color combinations that you see today were not available from the factory. I see a lot of Red Pony seats with white inserts. These were never offered by the factory. Red Pony seat only came in solid red or red/red.

I have always ordered my starters from John's Mustangs in Houston. They are always the right one.

I think that is a correct early one. The later one is deeper and has another step down on the right side of the bracket if you are facing the yoke from the driveshafts point of view.
-
I have one of the later ones that I would like to trade for the early Hi Po style. I would also be willing to pay some difference in a trade.

Mine all have the 2 5/8 deep squared off cap.

I recieved a response from ACC about the fit of their carpet. I sent them pictures showing the lumps on the transmission hump and in the front floor pans. They recommended putting a pad under the hump and using a heat gun on the rest. They also mentioned that they thought they have fixed the problem on future carpet orders. Who knows how long you will have to wait for them to sell the existing inventory and get one of the "fixed" carpet pieces?
In other words, I guess I am on my own to fix the problem without assistance from ACC, but I should keep buying from them in the future. I am very disappointed with their response.

I, too fell victim to the lumpy transmission hump after recently installing some ACC. Would like a resolution to the problem. My car is an MCA concours trailered car and most everything else is like I expected.
Hopefully the VP of ACC will reply to this forum and offer a resolution.
