Looking good, Steve. My Rangoon 65 f/b is at a similar stage to yours, so I'm itching to get it finished. Good to see Australia is becoming a haven for nice K's. Keep up the good work. Phil.

Is the handle-shaped catch on the underside of the hood supposed to be exterior body colour or was it fitted after the body was painted? Thanks. Phil.

Two Questions : 1. When an export brace is installed(Factory or dealer), are the lugs for the standard one removed or did they just bolt it over the top? Have seen a car for sale with the second method and looked very dodgy. 2. Was a windshield washer setup a factory item or optional in 1965? Same car didn't have this either. Five points for each correct answer! Phil.

Does anyone have any advice on the best fastener packages to use for a K restoration? Am thinking of going with the AMK brand. Are these any good as far as authenticity and quality? Any advice is much appreciated. Phil.

Welcome to another Aussie! First favour to do yourself is to buy the K Bible as it has heaps of info relating to your car. "The 289 High Performance Mustang" Ed. 4 will give you lots to go by. Good Luck. Phil.

My Nov '64 non-GT F/back also has no frame rail plates. Severe disappointment after the 'pinky test' a couple of years ago! It's nice to know others have these freak characteristics!! Phil.
