Welcome, Dino. Another Aussie on board! Good to see.
Phil.
Jim,
That's what I have. Mine is a Nov. 6 '64 build, so I think it has some leftover early parts on it. I guess it'll be okay to leave the green/yellow wire unattached.
Phil.
Hi Jar,
Welcome.
Forget the 2 GTs and the Pantera! Stick it out for the right K. You won't regret it. Worth the wait!!
Phil.
Thanks guys. My console glove box light wire joins the ashtray light wire to share the blue connection, so I'll just leave the green/yellow unattached. Mine is a Nov. '64 Kar, so maybe the green/yellow caters for the globe that comes through the top of the console glove box, as opposed to the back which mine has.
Thanks again.
I have a new(NPD) firewall-console feed wiring to install on my 65 K f/b full length console. Can anyone tell me what the green-yellow stripe wire connects to at the console end? I have 3 female connectors, 1 black(earth), 1 blue(power to console) and 1 green.
My console(original wiring) has 2 male connectors, 1 black(earth) and 1 blue(power). Therefore I have 1 empty female connector, or am I missing something?
Hope this doesn't sound too confusing.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Phil.
Fred,

The price is not cheap nor is it unreasonable. Fred is doing a 1st class job on these and I don't think you will find anyone else offering this service
Agreed!! 1st class!

Bob,
Did you get my PM?

I've cut the extra material (with a drimmel) away from the posts on the back side then applied a little epoxy to the posts ends when I reinstalled them.
Worked fine for me
Me too!
Guys, every reply has helped. Thanks to all for your responses.
Much appreciated.
Phil.
Thanks, Mike.
Those photos are great, but the vent assembly covers the area where the long piece of tape sits, so I can't see it clearly. From looking at your photos, it seems the tape is not visible underneath, so it may not be present, telling me it's not something that's important in reassembly. Thanks again for your help, Mike.
Can anyone else offer clues?
Can anyone answer the following questions regarding the tape(No. 3 & 6) in the illustrations?:
What purpose does the tape serve?
What material is the tape made of?
Is it still available today?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Phil.

And to think I only had to deal with wasps. Found nests inside rear brake drums, heater box and inside fold-down rear seat chrome trim among other places! Phil.
Rohan,
When Mal Wood(In Warwick,Qld) reconditioned my c/ratio top loader, he said I "now have something worth at least $3000, if you can find one!" That was about 5 years ago, so I'm thinking that outlay is probably about market value here, so long as not too much work is required to have it usable.
It depends on how badly the owner wants the car to be "right".
Hope this helps. Phil.
Thanks, guys.
Phil.
Come on, guys! Someone should be able to help me on this. I just need to know if these trims were available as an option in November '64. Does anyone have a 64.5 or early 65 that had these trims definitely from new?
Thanks again. Phil.
Can anyone tell me if the rocker panel or sill panel mouldings were offered as options from the beginning of Mustang production?
Thanks. Phil.
Thanks. They are the same treatment as our Australian 1967 Falcon GT wheel trims. I have a set on my '66 Australian delivered Mustang coupe and thought I recognized them.
