The one thing I have noticed is that either a car can "sell itself", or the dealer relies on Hyperbole to create an illusion designed to fog over the deficiencies. He may pull the wool over someones eyes, but the majority of us can see through this charade. Very strong $ for a car that is missing almost all attention to detail. Looks like the body was painted all together <in my opinion>, and the entire engine bay needs help. I do like the interior though I can't get enough detail on my PC.

I most like it when they try to "tie" the sale item to the top dog of a particular company product <Just like a Hemi! Dealer installed Paxton & "Go fast" kit, "Period correct <insert part here> blah blah blah... Sure, it's a K code, and the 350's were K's, but "virtually what Ford sent to Shelby" is a stretch of the imagination, and shows his lack of knowledge in this particular area, and imediately makes any other statement suspect as well.

    Just my 2 cents.

Love the site - but the registration form does not allow "leaving out" information ie: the door tag template on your site, which 65 to 67 HiPo Shelby's would not have had <with the exception of a few cars - I know!>

That, and I would not want to post the entire Ford VIN anyway, just 5R09KXXXXXX or something like that, as Howard has confirmed the Ford to Shelby VIN anyway.

So I cannot put my car in the HiPo reg., and it would be interesting to chart the subtle differences between the HiPo's and the "batch" runs of HiPo's that were assigned to Shelby.

    Just my 2 cents.

not much to look at: some pix of the car sitting in the garage I found it in <owner had bubble wrap on it!>, going on the trailer, etc.

Solid car with neat super early dated carb, cool early intake...blah, blah, blah. Missing a few items <someone PLEASE help me - look @ my wanted ad!>

Kall me sKeptiKal....Nam vet does not return home...If I have heard that story once, I have heard it a thousand times. The first time <or two or three...> I actually went to see a car that was not as advertised <go figure!>

A lot of things do not add up on this car, looking at the thread.

How "early" are the cars in the pix?

I have info on several cars under car # 60 that show 10-64 and 11-64 dates with G2 & Y2. If we look at the first 113 cars, all were recieved @ Venice plant by the end of December. That would put thier Ford build date near the beginning of December. The Radiators would have to be "staged" for the production run, and Modine would have to make them before December, then ship them. Therefore, it would be less likely the first 113 GT350's would have recieved a 12-65 date, and much more likely a 10 or 11-64 date.
