I'm happy to report that as of today, there will be at least 17 "K" code cars attending. It's still not to late to enter. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

I have two aluminum water pumps that are already rebuilt. One is for a 64 1/2 and the other for a 65. I'm looking to trade either one for a cast iron c6oe water pump. Send me an e-mail if you're interested in trading.

I just saw Ron Bramlett and he gave me a peek at the "K Day" dash plaque that all "K" owners will be getting. This is GREAT. Not only do you get your name on it, but your car's vin number will also be on it. This type of plaque is for "K" owners ONLY.This will be something to look forward too. At present there are about 11 "K" cars registered. It's not too late to get registered.

I'd like to take a count of "K" code owners that will be attending the October show. We'd like to park all the "K" codes together, so knowing how many will be in attendance will help with that idea. Remember, All types of "K" codes are welcome. In addition, the event T-shirts will be available for sale for those of you who won't be able to attend due to distance. When they are ready, I'll make sure that the information is posted here and on the MustangsPlus website. You may e-mail me directly if you have additional questions.

because the Fel Pro intake gaskets are blue in color and really stand out, what are other "K" owners using beside Fel Pro gaskets. I believe the original intake gaskets were made by McCord.

I spoke to Ron Bramlett this morning and everything is looking great for this fall's car display. It looks like we'll have a good showing of "K" cars. The MustangsPlus website will have the application available by Monday. Check out their website after this weekend. I've attached a preliminary design of the "K" T-shirt. This will be one show you don't want to miss. I look forward to seeing everyone and their "K" cars.

The weight of the counter-weight is right around 6 oz's. It is the same weight as the originals. Each one has been weighed. Thanks for everyones interest. I have just a few left.
-
I'll be in Concord, Ca. should anyone need the protective screw caps.
Happy Mustanging

The counter-weights will sell for 55.00, this includes shipping. Because they are reproductions I don't plan on stamping them with the word FRONT. I will stamp the word FRONT on request only to insure that it is assembled properly.
E-mail me if you will want one. I have a very limited supply.

just inquiring as to which paint many of you might be using for the engine. I've seen many pictures and the name "Ford Corporate Blue" is used in many publications. I myself have used Krylon 1923 and the PPG paint sprayed with the hardner. The product VHT Ford Blue appears VERY DARK, almost has a purple tint. I've taken original snorkels, peeled of the decals, polished it, and compared it to various paints. I would have to say that the Krylon product is very very close. Thanks in advance for all your input.

As indicated in my first post, I now have pictures of the final product. Cost however has not been established. Probably in the area of 50-60 dollars. These pieces have been test fitted on a crank with the HiPo crank sprocket. Your comments are welcomed.

I will have shortly about 10 slinger/hatchets for sale. These are reproductions and are equal to the original minus the FRONT stamping. The weight is the same and each one will be test fitted on a crank aligned with the bottom crank gear. No price as of yet, but these will be less than what the current reproductions sell for. I have the letter punches, and might just stamp the word FRONT on them. These are not original pieces. E-mail me if you think you might be interested. I'll post pictures soon.

I'm in need of an intake manifold with either a January 66 date or one with a April 66 date. If you have one that you would like to sell, e-mail me at,

Ron Bramlett would like to have a "K" day sometime in September. This would be for all cars that came from the factory equipped with the HiPo drive train. Mustangs, Fairlanes, etc. What do you folks think. How many of you would be able to attend. The tentative dates could be either September 15th or 22nd. Please feel free to voice your comments. The get together would be in Stockton,Ca.

I'm going to sell one of the aluminum water pumps I have that would be specific to an early hipo because of the numbers. C4OE-8505-A. I'm pretty sure that the date for this pump is June 64 (6 dots). The impeller however is an 8 vane. Pump has just been rebuilt. If you're interested contact me with an offer.

my added opinion to this topic is, most reputable Mustang parts places buy a lot of product from similar sources. Scott Drake supply's many with the concourse items. Being on the west coast, I buy from Mustangs Plus of Stockton. It helps that they are local, but heres the gotcha when dealing with Mustang vendors. After the sale satisfaction. If the product you buy is not what was represented, or what meets your expectation, do the various vendors work with you. I don't mind paying a bit more if the service is beyond normal expectations. I've also dealt with VA Mustang and NPD. All are curtious and do their best to get you the product you're asking for.

I've had a local muffler shop install various header type exhaust systems on three convertible. There is minor modification due to the fact that convertibles have the extra re-enforcing and getting the pipes to tuck up properly is trial and fit. Most aftermarket systems will need modifications. It is doable. The shop just needs to have patience.

Charles, I appreciate the good comments. I just want to help the hobby, especially all the Fastback owners who want to take the next step with showing their cars.
