An associate recently acquired this short block (block, crank, rotating assembly), it is presently at the machine shop for evaluation and cleanup. I contacted the '65/66 GT350 Registrar at SAAC (Shelby American Automobile Club) who advises that it is not a Shelby block.
It is available for sale. I am located in South central Pennsylvania.

I have a very nice example available. Factory Rangoon Red with black top and interior. Matching number engine and driveline. All original VIN stamps and door warranty plate. Current Pennsylvania title.
Optioned with power top, console, Rallye Pac, visibility group, radio, heater, spinner wheel covers and unique Arvinode early exhaust system. This car's build date is December 28, 1964, so is too early to have options introduced later; i.e. GT equipment, interior decor groups ("Pony" interior).
This car was sold locally (Harrisburg, PA). I acquired it unrestored at 93,959 miles in 2019 from a family that owned it since 1975. A multi year rotisserie restoration to original specs was completed in mid 2025. Current and pre restoration photos attached; more available.

I recently acquired some vintage Mustang literature and among the items was the original owner's manual for 5T09K185416. It was sold new by Wolf Motor Company in Lancaster, PA on July 9, 1965.
I searched the VIN and found some posts from April of 2010 on THE EKSCHANGE mentioning this car being offered for sale on ebay, but all of the threads are long inactive.
So the car is apparently still out there - perhaps the current owner would appreciate it being reunited with its original manual and learn some of its history as well!
