I think that Maple Hill only carried out the painting/ plating. The sleeving was done here http://www.whitepost.com/.
See the post in Restoration on this valve.

Yes I believe so. I can confirm if you wish but its getting late here and to damn cold to go outside.
My mid April '65 Dearborn car has an H pulley, arched number, flat back with raised spacer, number closer to the centre than in Bobs pic. Dont know if it is original or not.
Finished piece looks nice. Who did you get to do the sleeving ?
Thanks Mark
Ask Jack at Dead Nuts On.
He was kind enough to send me one he had.
Hi Damon
The cylinder below the brake master cyl is the brake proportioning valve for the rear brakes.
These can leak if the bores get corroded.
You can read all about it here :-http://www.stangerssite.com/brakevalve.html
NPD sell the seal kits, there are two types as there are two different piston types.
The bore has to be perfect to just rebuild with a seal kit, otherwise you have to get the cylinder sleeved.
There is confusion as to which seal kit fits what piston.
I can tell you that NPD kit 2B091-1K FITS THE PISTON WITHOUT THE BOLT IN THE END.
But this kit does not have the rubber band in it to go round the outside of the cylinder. So you may have to get both kits to get all the pieces anyhow.

Apparently I'm so old I can't shift fast enough to induce this problem.

Jeez I never realised that it would come to this. I am going to get out of this car game whilst I am still young enough ![]()
Thanks Jason
From NPD I was able to go to RAM's website and in their tech section was able to get the dimensions for the bearing. It is as I suspected I have the wrong size bearing in the car. It is too small on the OD and nearly drops through the fingers.
Now I can get the right one
Cheers

Guys I am struggling here, please take a look at this list and tell me which clutch release bearing I need for a stock 3 finger pressure plate.
Thanks.
Welcome - good choice of car, good luck with it.

Hi
Welcome from the UK
Hope you enjoy your time here.

This is my 1965 289 Cobra replica. I would have loved to have had the real deal in the 1960's.
This car has given us so much fun, what it would have been like to own one in period I cant imagine.

Very nice - love the colour
Fantastic!!!!!!
Thanks for your thoughts
Wondered what they used for their 289 applications in mustangs, Cobras, GT40 etc.
I would assume that they would have wanted the stronger bottom end and used HiPo main caps ?
Does anyone know if Holman Moody used HiPo or regular blocks in 1965 ?
Thanks
