Have to agree with Bill, I bought my K in January - it wasnt perfect with some incorrect parts, but since I have been collecting and now she's almost 100%. Now all the right bits are there I can start to make 'em shiney. And i've had some great days out already.

Nice one Jason. I did not know that '65 factory GT's should have a cicuit breaker for the fog lights - so more upside down manoevering under the dash and there it was, phew great!

One query, I read on this site, the Dearborn '65 cars did not have buck tags ? and your article says they did, can we check this one out ?

I agree, I was still surprised the first time I drove mine. It made me check to see if it was really 3.50:1 and not one of the lower ratios, it is 3.50:1 so I will leave it alone. Perhaps someone will buy me some earmuffs for christmas

Having only had my K for a short while I think it is quite low geared at 3.50:1. It really is quite busy at 70mph. I am used to 30mph per thousand in 5th in my cob rep and the 5th gear in most moderns makes for relaxed cruising. Your ears must have taken a right old bashing over the years!

Would someone please give me positive answers to a couple of questions regarding the low profile rally pac. My car has a scheduled build date of 13R 1965, would the clock for this period of low profile rally pac have a number 6 on the dial or not?

As my car has a standard interior would the rally pac be steering column colour or black?. I have conflicting info on this.

Phil Severance has just repaired my rally pac tach. He is a really nice chap, who even emailed me when he was on holiday. As soon as he returned he fixed my tach staight away. Unlike another Tach man who was 'too busy'. Phil also does clocks he can be contacted on

My 13R 1965 car is fitted with a clamp that looks like neither of these, it is smaller, I will post a pic if needed. My question is what clamp should I have ? Thanks

Whatever you do dont come to the UK cos you will be really stuffed - our house light switches are UP for off and DOWN for on , you could spend the whole visit in the dark !!
