A couple of links below might help. The first is an article on modified Mustangs and Fords. The second is a about a three times Australian touring car Championships winner.

Thanks for assistance guy's. I have emailed earlyk and a few other specialist suppliers. One supplier (Convertible top specialist in Florida)has side rail rebuild kits with bronze bushes for most other makes of cars, but no mention of mustangs. I will wait to hear from them.
I have also spoken to an engineer who is happy to work with me to reproduce the bushes in nylon. They would be CNC milled in the correct look white nylon (not cheap). If this was the case I will have sets made.
Thanks again
Hi all
I have stripped my convertible top down. It was in a bad state, but will go to be powdercoated soon. The frame has nylon bushes which are worn/broken,that need replacing. Can someone tell me if there is a bushing kit available from suppliers in the US.

Welcome 65 GT HIPO from Sydney NSW. COBRABOY the deal has been done. You can take home the ashes but Shane Warne gets to keep Liz Hurley.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Thankyou caspian & pprince for correcting me.
Please members correct me if I am wrong. I have never come across a 67 GT or GTA with a 2V motor (c code). All have 4V motors (A code)with the gt package. If purchasing ask for a marti report.
Looking good! I am half way through my A code GTA convertible. It is ready for the paint shop. Once back,I can finally start puting some bling on.
Where was your car built and has it a 6k or 8k tach? My 67 fastback is a Dearborn car with a 6k tach.
Searching for a set of heads with a casting date Jan,Feb,March 1967.Deardorn built car. Can someone assit. Thanks
Question to all. Did the 67 hipo's leave the factory with a 6000 or 8000 tach as a standard?
Hi Guys. New project in the basement (half dead fastback) that needs to rise from the ashes. Needs some parts so I will be in touch with the stock department soon.
Regards
