Is there a "more correct" finish for the fitting?
I have a Zinc one here in my parts stash but I see a zinc dichromate finish listed as well.

Should the water fitting be facing a certain direction ?
towards the firewall would seem to make sense.
So a 65 K code built December 64 which is too early to be a GT.
But as a K code car would it still have the 2 holes on the rear frame rails and the anti crush supports or was this specific to GT's ?
I know the K codes just had a turn down exhaust and not the trumpet style.
Thanks Fred !
Is that fitting unique to K code's ?
Is it still available ?
This looks kind of similar but not the same ?
CONNECTION, Heater Hose, zinc dichromate - #18599-1C - National Parts Depot (npdlink.com)
Thanks 65KGT !
So should I leave the hose length the same ?
I was thinking it would look better shorter but I want to stay as correct as possible.
I also do like the look of the hose on the other side of the coil, I think it looks a little cleaner.
I am trying to find pictures of the heater hose location for my 65 vert.
I have the support strap mounted on the front hole but one of the hoses seems to long .
I would like to see correct placement before I shorten it.
I think maybe it should go on the other side of the coil wire ?
Its a Dearborn Kar built Dec 10/64
Thanks Fred.
Where would I see the mech. advance number ?
Is that the stamping on the weights ?
From what I can tell by the spring colors ,it is set up like a hipo dist.
I have a new C30Z-6250 camshaft from Marv's Mustang.
It came with my Kar and has never been unwrapped.
I'm trying to clear out some parts that came with the Kar and I'm not sure what something like this is worth.
Any ideas ?
I got this FOMOCO distributor with my 65 Kar. I know it's not the original but could it have been a service replacement?
Why would someone scratch out the original part number ?

Thanks Fred, I'll check that out for sure !
That makes sense as I think that is what the carb is from.
it is a C5AF-H
Would the KD booster be to big for my 289 ?
The reason this journey started is because of a "flat spot" during acceleration around 1000 to 1500 rpm.
I was thinking that I was not getting enough fuel during "transition" from the idle circuit to the main circuit.
my 1.12 carb currently has "KD" primary and "BA" secondary boosters
Carb was rebuilt by Pony Carbs several years ago.
Fair enough Fred , I understand completely !
Can you recommend a similar booster that I could look for ?
Hi Charles , sorry if I was confusing.
I would like a "M" booster for my 1.12 carb and
I am also converting/sleeving another 1.12 to have 1.08 primary bores so would like the
A code primary cluster for that carb.
Robert
It is a "KD" stamped primary booster in a 1.12 carb
I am going to sleeve the primary bores with this :
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Autolite-4…5.c100012.m1985
And then would like to get some proper 1.08 boosters.
The goal is to improve throttle response in the low end while keeping the 1.12 secondary's
It's not a correct hipo carb unfortunately but a "C5AF"
Thanks Dan I'm actually more looking for the "M" primary cluster or at least one that would be correct for an A code Mustang.
I appreciate your offer.
Please keep me in mind if you come across a Primary booster that would work for me.
Robert
Thanks Evan, that's awesome !

Yeah I know Fred !
I would also look at CF or CH stamped boosters as well...
Thanks Fred !
Just taking a shot
Hi I'm looking for boosters for my 65 carburetor with M and BA stampings , but I'm sure you already know that
