Why is the DSO field on the registry entry form limited to only the following pulldown menu values: 10, 21, 32, 36, 72, 74, M
This field either needs to be populated with all the possible DSO values, or it needs to be a free text field.

Yes, but if the car is all original, it never would have been fitted with a replacement valence, correct?
Yep, interesting that the Mustang on that page is described as an all original survivor.
On page 94 of the book, "Original Mustang", there's a survivor class green '66 K Code Convertible photographed. But there are no back up lights in the rear valence. Were some '66 Mustangs actually produced without the supposedly standard backup lights?
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks. The build date on the door plate shows 04M. Sounds like at least this K code's VIN falls correctly in line with the production build dates. Unless being just one day outside of the range that both sources state is enough to matter.
Oh, and yep, I just placed an order for Tony Gregory's book.
Crystal clear now. Thanks Dave!
Anyone have access to documented build dates for '66 K Codes built around Chassis Number 184284? I'd like to see how the build date on this car fits into the mix.
Thanks Jim. So there are three places where the VIN is stamped on the body? I thought there was only two. One that is clearly visible on the top of the driver side wheel well and one that is roughly in the same place on the passenger side, but is hidden by the fender. Where exactly is the third place? You mention at the rear of the wheel well? Which wheel well and exactly where?
Thanks,
Steve
Is there an easy way to at least see part of the VIN that's stamped under the passenger side fender on a Mustang? Maybe loosening some of the bolts on the fender will gain enough room to shine a flashlight in there? Or does the outer fender absolutely have to come off to see the VIN stamp?
Thanks
Steve
Thanks Gary. Trying to go the inspection route, but even the experts in my area are not very familiar with the K codes. I guess they are just too rare. So yep, this forum is the best way to go.
Thanks. I added some additional photos. This is supposedly an original '66 K Code Fastback, but has a '65 K Code block. Does anything look suspicious or incorrect for a K code, in the photos?
Can someone tell me what kind of carb and intake is on the K code motor? Also are the valve covers original Shelby parts or repros? And are the exhaust manifolds correct for a K code? Here's the link to the photos:
I'm a serious buyer for a nice '65 or '66 GT K code Fastback. Must be numbers matching. PM me with photos and description.
Thanks,
Steve
