I believe from the discussion on the old forum was that some Metuchen hipo blocks were VIN stamped and some were not-I don't recall if anyone came up with a reason or trend. The other thing is that no K code C4 trans were VIN stamped.

I have a original K Code w/o VIN on engine and trans.
This was discussed in the old forum as I recall.
The speculation is that all 65/66's have VIN stampings on engine trans.

You realize there are a lot of original K codes that did not have a VIN code stamped on engine or trans.

Is it common for 66 manual steering K codes to have an idler arm that is for power steering???
My car's idler arm has light blue paint daub, seems original. MPL indicates light blue is for power steering. I was going to replace bushing and hole ID I think is larger then MS bushing.
