Normally, on our Kars, what date would be on door tag, scheduled or
actual build date.
Thanks,

After reading some of the old info on
Our Kars, I’m finally at ease about date codes on my Kar, my scheduled
build date an motor assembly date
are the same 6-8-65 I was always concerned about this even though
the block is vin. stamped. Bob Mannell says this is not only possible
but he an others have the same senerio, there’s probably others also.
The info is in research page 3, would
welcome all others comments on this subject.
Thanks,

I’m in the process of rebuilding front suspension
1965 fastback Hi-Po, before reassemble I want to
make sure it’s the right coil springs, what would be
the right number of coils or height of said springs. Thanks,

Am I correct that you are seeking both the sway bar itself and the end link kits? I know that I have one NOS end link kit and I can probably come up with another one. I believe that I have the sway bar as well.

There normally is no sleeve under the boot as it would not let the stud sit all of the way down in the taper of the spindle. Is this sleeve possibly the cardboard tube that goes between the nut and the boot on a new part just to make sure the boot stays put while in the box? You will need to carefully remove the boot to find out. It can easily be reinstalled. If you do ruin the boot, I have NOS ones.

Thanks Fred, you were right, it was a small piece of cardboard that had worked its way below the boot, this is a fine example of why this forum was sadly missed by us K-CODE owners, the answers to our questions are fast an dead on.Thanks again,

Is this an NOS Ford tie rod end without a setup for a zerk fitting?
-Fred-
Yes Fred, these are nos outer tie rods, no zerk fitting, one looks like it has a sleeve of some sort on shaft under the boot the other one does not, which one is correct. -
On outer tie rods Manuel steer is there some sort of sleeve on threaded rod inside of boot, one tie rod has this an one don’t. Thanks, Relicdog
