Thanks for all the info Fred, based on that this is not a boss 302 cam it has a letter C with an upside down F next to B with purple/lavender color paint on the dist gear end of it.

This is not a k code question ,but how do you identify a factory original equipment boss 302 camshaft by paint markings and casting numbers.

I switched over to petronix with an original yellow top coil in my 70 B,302 4 years ago with rev limitor no problems at all,

DOES ANY ONE USE SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL IN A TOP LOADER OR REAR END.IF SO WHAT TYPE.

Where can i find info on the water injection systems that were used for racing aplications.

I had a new repo yellow top coil on one of my cars and had the same problem, when the engine reached operating temp the coil primary windings would open or short out,causing ignition failure,then would restart after it cooled down. i called the vendor and they said it was from a bad batch of coils with to few primary windings and were breaking down when they were hot,this was 7 years ago, since then i run an original ford yellow top, whenever i get a chance i pick one up ,run test it clean and detail it. i have a few extra coils if any body needs one,send me a PM and i will send pics and price.

Is there an aftermarket 289 6 bolt steel bellhousing that will accept both a wide and narrow bolt pattern top loader trans .does anbody have one to sell.

I was reading the questions and answers in your auction and you stated that someone accessed the accounts of the poeple that bid on the main caps ,are you sure of this.

Check to see if any part of the exhaust system is touching or grounding,to the body or frame of the car transmitting engine vibrations,out of balance cooling fan, also a new engine or trans mount could also be a source of a vibration if it is not neutralized to the frame,bring the engine up to operating temperature ,losen the right and left motor mounts and rear trans mount, put the trans in ist gear power brake lightly, put trans in neutral goose the throttle ,put the trans in reverse power brake lightly, shift back to neutral and goose the throttle again, then retighten the motor mounts and rear trans mount, then recheck to see if it improved.
