Good luck with the auction ,is the shelby one of Daves old cars.Quote from tajaguarThanks, I had planned to keep this for myself since I love the color combination. So needless to say I was doing everything correctly without cutting corners. But I can't pass up the opportunity to buy this 66 Shelby that I've been offered. Had a few interested party's outside of the auction, but nothing firm yet, so I just relisted with a lower Buy it Now.

One idea i had on this was that the research & development staff did not figure in the 9 inch rear diff & dual exhaust that the k code mustang would have until production was on a roll, so they installed the dual exhaust brake hose bracket on the assy line in the first month or so of k code mustang production .all 70 boss 302 cars had holes in the rear floor pan shock support brace cut with a torch on the assy line for rear staggered shock braces . it was cost effective, just my opinion.

My June 8th 64 build date 64.5 K coupe has a single exhaust brake hose bracket that is factory spot welded in the single exhaust location to the floor pan and a second brake hose bracket which the brake hose was attatched to the left of it in the usual dual exhaust location that was hand welded to the floor pan, the other single exhaust bracket has no whitness marks from a brake hose ever being attatched to it ,the car still has the original floor pans and duel exhaust support plates behind the rear seat. Chuck.
Chuck,
That's some interesting information. I assume it uses the HiPo style rear brake hose also.
Obviously, there were some variations on that brake hose bracket location on these early cars.
Thanks for responding.
-Brant
Yes it also has the HiPo rear brake hose and is a Dearborn car.

I own K car 5F07K159122, build date is 08F

Rob do you have any new cars in other than the 66 fastback and tiger you have listed.Quote from boss1Original markings help, but you would be surprised at how long those last. I routinely get cars in that have the markings in place. Sometimes they are covered in light dirt others, there plain as day...like the 69 Shelby GT350 I just sold...original markings, chalk etc. and 72,000 original, DOCUMENTED miles. Documentation including all service and title reccords from day 1. If you want to overpay for a car, feel free, but the market for that car is not north of $50K
