E bay item # 320643513688 64.5 car with VIN 5F08K140242, is not listed in the Registry yet.
The only one i have seen is the picture in Bob Mannels book page 4J1. the generator on my june 64 k coupe was long gone prior to me owning the car.Quote from CharlesTurnerIt's been a long standing judging rule that 64.5 K codes didn't have the metal shield. If there is evidence to prove contrary, we need to know about it and get the rule changed.
I think the generator rubber boot & shield were for water and heat protection.
In reference to Bob Mannels small block ford book page 4-51 (some) non a/c cars and k codes at mid year 1964 production were equipped with metal shields and rear rubber boots,

Brant , thank you for the input removed the wood from the plastic arm rest base , there is a ford part number C4ZB 6524144-A , the wooden part is made from oak , there is no old vinyl covering on it only a old varnish coating, the chrome on the plastic base is worn off as is the top of the wood from daily use , these are from my June 8th build 64.5 K coupe with palomino interior the oak wood tops are a perfect fit unlike a home made part, i plan to send the plastic bases out for rechroming , who would you recomend to send them to, chuck.
My 64.5 coupe with palomino interior arm rests have wood instead of vinal pading , is the wood a home made thing by a past owner or a factory piece, they look like original ,thanks in advance , chuck
Hello Charles, i sent you a pm on the manifolds, chuck.Quote from CharlesTurnerI have a super nice pair of original hi-po exhaust manifolds for sale with '65 dates. They have been cleaned and coated. I believe these were early take-off parts as there is absolutely no scaling or heavy rust pitting inside or outside the manifolds. I do not know what kind of coating is on them as I bought them like this about 4 years ago. Asking $500 for the pair. Pics here:
I rebuilt the top loader in my 70 boss 302 a few years ago with the basic rebuild kit the synchros looked good so i reused them as well as all the gears i replaced all shifter bushings and installed a rebuilt shifter , it shifts smoother when i drive it hard vs parking lot manuvers at low rpms.
Robert i sent you a pm on this, regards chuck.
