I attended the MCA National Show in Oakville, Ontario this past weekend hosted by the Golden Horseshoe Mustang Assocation. It was my first time in Canada and the first MCA show outside the U.S. I had a great time. The show was at the Ford headquarters and their were over 400 Mustangs. I saw some of the members here and met some new HiPo folks. Again it was a lot of fun. God job GHMA.

I attended the Mustang Club of Ohio and MCA National show this weekend. I want to commend the host club for a great job. I know it wasn't easy but my hats off to you. I drove my wifes convertible over a thousand miles round trip to attend and I'd do it again. The shows are about people and cars. (in that order)

Hello Herb: It was really good seeing you this weekend and I love the sound of the Arvinode exhaust system on your K fastback. I saw that you got a Gold award you car earned it. Their was a guy in Massachettus (I know that isn't the correct spelling) that was reproducing them.

I owned a 1966 Mustang Coupe with a B/W T10 trans that was very reliable. It was a factory installed trans and I drove that car almost every day for 12 years. The only part I had to replace was the input bearing. I did dog it some and it held up well. You can tell the difference between the B/W T10 and top loader as the B/W loads all of it's inrernal parts from the side and toploader loads from the top.

RPM I don't know what he charges but, I'll provide his phone # and you can inquire. I think that it's a little more to the alternator than putting in brushes and armature. I think alternators have a stator, rotor, diodes, heat sink, brushes bearing and housing. The phone # is 703-494-3990 Charles Wagner. He uses orginal hosing. I'm pleased with his units.

I have a friend here locally that does alternator restorations. They look and function as good as anyone. He uses orginal housingss. I can attest to that as he gets all of my orginal units. I think some of the vendors are using reproduction housings. His are also stamped right.

The orginal mirrors that I've seen and I own a 1965 with push button type and 1966 twist type both orginal mirrors have the ribs painted Argent. The main body is chrome. Around May 1965 Ford went to the twist type mirror that carried over into 1966.

I've seen Mustang parts reproduced incorrectly before. A good example is some 1965/66 reproduction fuel tanks with the drain plug on the drivers side. (INCORRECT) The ribs on the 65/66 Mustang day/nite mirror left chrome. (Ribs should be argent, main body chrome)

I've never done a reproduction of any part but, in looking at an orginal 1964/65 fuel filter cannister I could see where it would be diffcult to reproduce. The orginal is double ribbed at the bottom with a step up. What does the cannister you're refering to like like? There is a cannister that's similar to the orginal but not quite correct. Is there a picture any where of what you're talking about?

I viewed the pictures of the alternator posted here and it appears that the stamping on the unit would be located at the bottom of the alternator if installed on a car equipped 289 cuin engine. My question to mgmradio is are your cars(stamping on the bottom) like that also? If so the stamps being place on them by the reproduction people are incorrect and it should be noted.

John: I viewed your photos and it appears that you did one fine job. I also learned something in the process. I didn't know that Ford was using the Tung-Sol Fomoco etched headlamps in 1965. I have a pair of the Westinghouse with Fomoco logo embedded under the glass, the bottom of the bulb has only a W and General Electric bulbs etched with Fomoco as your Tung-Sol. I think Ford was also using Sylvania bulbs at that time. I don't know that Ford was using the Wagner 6012 bulbs during that period.(1964-1966) I'm not even sure the company was around then. Any way great job.
