This is not a K code question, rather a Mustang question (I think).

A member of our local mustang club called and said he had an old button top pump but he was not sure of the application. I tried to explain where to look for numbers but I don't think we were communicating. At any rate he mentioned the following numbers and letters:0-1719 with a larger 4 below. He also mentioned 18L4A and 39S. I know this is not much to go on but can someone help this fellow Mustanger. Thanks, Quentin

Hello all...tire up for trade... I would prefer to trade for some parts I need for my 66 car. The tire I want to trade is a US Royal Nylon Low Profile Tubeless dual redline tire 6.95-14.

The tire is in excellent condition ...most of the whiskers are gone but, the treds are like new. The tire has been in the trunk of my Hipo for years and never been on the ground. Would be perfect for a concourse restoration. Trade for hipo fan dated aug. sept. oct. 1965 and a 4201 fuel pump. Thanks, Quentin

Here are some questions about painting. The car is a 67 built at the Dearborn plant.

    Questions:

    1. Are door hinge bolts painted body color?

    2. Are trunk lid bolts painted body color?

    3. Are the fender bolts cadidium plated?

Look forward to hearing from my forum friends.

Just a quick update on the 67 project....the car is now ready for final body work and paint. The fellow who will be doing the painting will allow me to help and we should get started in December. Maybe I'll be able to learn something.

I had an email from the orginal owner of the car and learned some things. This man has become a real help in restoring the car and just fun to talk to. He said all he wants is to drive the car one more time...I told him he'll be the second person to drive it when it gets done.

The first misconception he cleared up had to do with the paxton. I thought the paxton was purchased from the dealer and may even had been installed by the dealer. Not so, I've added information on where the orginal owner bought the paxton and the directions for installation...not what I expected. This leads me to a question. Could a customer actually order a paxton through a local Ford dealer? For some reason I thought you could order them from the dealer.

I also asked the orginal owner if he or the factory rolled the front wheel moldings and he said he had done this to get fatter tires on the car.

Below are some links to the photos. If they are not hot linked please copy and paste the link into your browser window. Sorry if they don't work this way, I will try to get you different files when I can.

Looking for some help (if this has been covered just point me in the right direction)...I know factory sound deadener was sprayed on the inside of the rear quarter panels the inside of the doors and the inside top of the front fenders. Should I be aware of other locations? How do most folks apply this undercoating? Thanks for your help folks. Qman

On 67 mustangs front and rear bumpers many mustangs had either chrome or painted bumper guards or no bumper guards at all. My questions are ......Were those bumper guards part of the GT package? How do you know if a particulair car came with those guards? Which ones were painted and which ones were chrome?

What product are folks using when they put in the undercoating on the inside of the rear quarters? Orginally the undercoating looked bumpy and then was painted over with body color, I think.

Was there other places that the factory used undercoating? Thanks, and have a great holiday.

I'm not trying to start an argument but, I'm about 90% sure the 140 mph speedo did come on 67 with competition suspension. It appears on my car and I'm the only one to take apart the dash. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me can solve this. There still is alot of misconceptions about the competition suspension option in 67. Qman

My wife and I attended the national show in Columbus this past weekend and had a wonderful time. I have to compliment Dan one of the co-chairs and forum member. Dan was out in the rain helping to cover cars during a late afternoon shower. Later that evening he was out picking litter left by the storm. Every time I saw him he was helping out and always with a smile. How many co-chairman do you know who would take the time do that, along with running a major show. Nice job Dan!! Qman
