Any chance of getting a group order on these or is it a dead issue?

<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>I'll have to follow up but so far we haven't generated enough interest to keep the price low.

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

It wasn't just 9" equipped cars, it also included factory dual exhaust cars.

<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>Is this correct for both 65 and 66? I recall a post saying it was confirmed on non-K 66 GTs, but questionable if that was the case for 65 cars.

To add to that, the 67 bracket I bought was like the one you have as the 66 style except it was 3 1/4" instead of 2 5/8". It was supposedly from a 67 big block car but the guy couldn't remember if it was a Mustang or Fairlane.

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

How much are they really worth now, guys?

<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>Here's a picture of one like the one identified as the earlier style above that went for $170 almost two years ago.

The later styles (B2,BB) having been going for around $75-100.

The one in this post I believe sold for around $150. It is the later style (symetrical) as mentioned above.

I have one of each shape that came on the 65 rear and 66 pumkin I obtained. Both are 2 5/8" and squared off on the sides. I don't know if the slight change was based on the year, plant, supplier or some other factor.

Based on the prices above, the initial starting bid was within reason. Ebay is a funny place, but I'd be surprised to see it go for much over $250 unless a parts broker gets involved or Shelby guys start a bidding war.

Here's another post in the research section about them.

    http://www.hipomustang.com/hpmx/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5636

Did anyone else notice this? I could have sworn the minimum bid started at $199, then changed to $249, now it's $349. The revision history shows two changes to the min bid amount. Anyone interested at $499?

Sold for <b></b> by fndeal<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>These snubbers came only on cars equipt with 9" rear ends and only for two years 65-66. This snubber is also the correct one for 65-66 Shelby Mustangs, so if yours is missing here is your chance to get it. I have been building Mustang 9 " rear ends for 10 years and know this to be the correct part for this application. The condition of this part is excellent, The bracket has been cleaned and painted with light grey primer. The rubber bumper is part # C3AA-4906-C, it has only been cleaned. I did not paint it or plastic coat it, so it is in good natural rubber condition, smooth with light wear on the tip.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote> link

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

Is this one of the later styles?

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>That's the correct, early style.

This link has a good picture of the later style. Notice how it is notched on the edges and one side is slanted in stead of square.

Please email me if there are any questions.

Best I can tell (based on all the ones we’ve tracked), the metal brackets that place the bumper in the approximate correct position come in two basic shapes. The earlier shape is squared and the later is slanted and notched. They both apparently come in different depths depending on the application.

The later style you see frequently listed on ebay for 68-70 big blocks and Boss cars is approx 3 1/4" deep and has the C9 bumper. I still have the one that was on the 70 Boss2 I used to own so I believe this to be correct.

When I started my search, I bought a notched/C9 setup that was advertised as correct for a HiPo. Once it came in with the C9 bumper and I realized it was the same as the Boss2 one, I decided to do some research and ask some questions.

I was told the square version with a C3 bumper is correct. Some rear end pictures of cars for sale on ebay seemed to confirm the square shape. I bought a pumpkin off a 67 S-code car (dated 6M) with the square bracket that is 3 1/4" deep. A later rear end listed on auction referenced a 2 5/8” bracket, which led me to ask a couple of members to measure theirs. Both measured approx 2 5/8”

So my understanding is, based on discussions with some of our members and research from what we’ve tracked, the correct ones for the 65-66 HiPo are squared and approx 2 5/8" deep.

I've since bought a complete 65 rear, a 66 dated pumpkin with C4 equalock/3.5 gears, and a 65 pumpkin dated with open 3.5 gears all having the 2 5/8" square bracket with C3 bumpers. The one on the complete 65 rear was slightly different with only one step while the other two had an extra slight step at the very bottom.

Ending up with extras, I cleaned and sold the ones I didn’t need.

    Any other thoughts/comments/corrections?

It's been a while since we've seen a complete set of these.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>These are the correct HiPo motor mounts for a 1965 Ford Mustang or Shelby. These are the ones that were found on the high performance small block engines and I think they were also found on the early 1966 cars. They may work on other applications as well such as fairlanes but I am not sure. Whether your car is a fastback, convertible or coupe, these are the real deal. While they are not NOS, they are in very good condition. Everything as seen in the picture is included.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

I'm looking for unmolested heads dated either 5E/first week F or 5K/first week L. Any date block is fine as I have good dated blocks, just need one to complete another trade. Would also be interested in just main caps as part of trade.

Will consider REASONABLE cash offers or trade toward HiPo Heads or block.

Use the search to get an idea of what the 66s have been going for. It's been a while since one was available.

    All,

I restored the database from Apr 11 so we only lost a couple of days’ worth of posts. It's unfortunate to lose that much, but better than all the way back to Mar 23.

If you've registered since 11 Apr, you'll need to re-register.

They had a server change and the email forms no longer work. Please use PMs until I get a chance to fix them.
