Nice ones sell for about $300.

As Marv said, you might be able to pay Kevin to research this stat.
Otherwise, there were 128 black '67 fastbacks with red deluxe interior and 73 black '67 fastbacks with parchment deluxe interior. Of the 319 '67 K fastbacks (non-Shelby), I'm sure either combo was rare in numbers.

Very neat stuff, is this like Mustang Archeology?

The plating on the images Jeff provided is exactly as I have seen.

If you get a chance, please scan in the pictures at higher resolution. You can e-mail to me directly. Don't worry about cropping or re-size.

Agree that $20k should be plenty to buy that car. If there were no rust issues, $25k might be possible.

I've had excellent results with the rebuild kit that Mark offers. He is also very good at answering tech questions if you need help!

I'll check through my stuff. I might have a 6 cyl NOS pump you can have. Pretty much all the fuel pumps around that period would have the same plating, it's not specific to the hi-po pumps.

Believe Bob's book covers this. If you don't have a copy, it is highly recommended to add it to your library!

Fred, as soon as I clean all the grease off my original I'll send you a couple of pictures. What areas I have cleaned off all appear to have been painted blue and is silver underneath...
The pumps should be gold dichromate, but not with an exaggerated "pinkish" hue like most pieces done these days.
If you have silver under the paint, the unit could have been a rebuilt at some point.

Ended at $20,300 second go around. Reserve not met.

Also.... is the picture you gave me originally digital or film? If digital, do you have a full resolution or if film can you scan it at very high resolution? Might be able to see a few more details if the image can be blown up large.

Hello, The pictures that Charles has are of my Dad's Mustang, I have never seen another system like that. I wish I had kept it when I restored the car a few years back. I too would be intrested in a system. Dad always said the exhaust was special equipement onhis car and that it had a very neat sound. I was too young to remember the sound. My car is an early January 65 build and, if anyone is coming to the National Mustang show here in June (Columbus Ohio) Please look me up and introduce yourself to me. It would be a pleasure to meet some other K code Fans!
We do have a question for you that you might be able to answer... which has to deal with the characteristics of the long tube mufflers. Do you remember if the portion above the long mufflers was a folded crimp "tab" or was it cylindrical?
Even though you didn't save the system, those pictures are still very helpful!

The braces were added in late Fall '64.

From a couple weeks to a couple months is fine.

As I stated previously, don't believe it is an "honest" product once the hi-po numbers are stamped into the base. If it's just fit and functionality that you're after, you don't need the numbers. As you state, most people would not know the difference... and I bet you don't readily disclose that the carb is a fake to everyone.

I have several of the bags if you need anymore pics.

The originals have a "thicker" look and feel to them. IIRC, there is also some minor differences in the rivets and the texture/color of the backing.

November/December '65 is about the latest I have seen the lock tabs on original cars. Definitely go with Ramp-loc on a feb '66 car.
