Also... FYI... AMK sells nice reproductions: http://www.amkproducts.com

They were originally a darkened heat treated appearance. Once installed, they possibly could have had some engine paint over-spray.

Might call some restoration shops, they might have parts cars with that piece. Maybe check Hemmings? You also might post an ad in the wanted section on VMF

Tony does a good job on the window stickers. FYI... he used to be editor of Mustang Times.

They were dipped, the line at the top is usually about a couple inches down from where the pivot is.

The Dearborn and Metuchen radiators were stamped with numbers on the side of the radiator, on the voltage regulator side of the car. Sometimes there is a small tag soldered to the tank with an additional date stamp.

$800.00 bid on a fan???? this is crazy!!!! are the repros THAT bad??
Yep, that's typical. The repro's are easy to spot.

This sounds like the same procedure in the Ford shop manual, no?
Spinning push rods until resistance and turning the crank 1/4 turns at a time...
Have a friend that told me something easier than that, which works well. I'll have to check on my "cheat-sheet", but it goes something like... adjust the intake as the exhaust starts to go down, adjust the exhaust as the intake starts to go up. I'll try to remember to check what I have written down.

The '67 washer bag bracket has an extra bend on the left side(looking at it straight on), not sure why but it does.

You can have displays if you have a Modified or Thoroughbred car.
It's basically a safety issue, the club wants to minimize possible damage caused by displays.
You could always buy a vendor space and have a display for your car if you like. Or possibly contact the club putting on the show and ask if you could have a reserved space with a display and pay them an additional amount.

Has anyone here rebuilt their own water pump? Other than cleaning, what could be so hard about pressing in a new seal and bearing? Need a special fixture? I have a dozen or so early pumps.

I'll be attending all the MCA national shows this year, but doesn't appear I will be taking any cars. None of my stuff is good enough to show anyway!

At least it does appear to have the reinforced area for dual exhaust.
Agree with others though, no telling what this thing really is.... a "coupe-de-K fastback"

Checked the NOS Hi-po H-pipe I have. As mentioned, it has the side locating tabs. It has C5ZA-5246-C stamped on the bottom, 90 degrees from one of the tabs. No FoMoCo markings anywhere that I could find, no paint markings. Of course, this is a service part, so no telling where it came from.

Has some pretty serious issues for that kinda dough, but at least the motor looks untouched.
Don't believe I have ever seen an earlier buck tag. I always thought Metuchen started using them around the end of April '65.

The VIN is listed in the registry with last known location in NY. Try contacting Marv so he can try and pass along the info to the owner.

Now thats a turn of events from someone who normally swears the engineering drawings are the law...
He's obviously poking fun.
I do have an NOS H-pipe for a '65 K code, the earlier one with the tabs on the sides(I also have some with tabs on the bottom). I'll try to remember to take a look at it. The '65 K-convertible I'm restoring had the original H-pipe on it, but it's pretty rusty.

That's a tough one to find if you need it! I just found one on a '72 302 motor of all things!

5L18B would be November 18, 1965, B shift(2nd).
If you have a Jan 16, '65 car, you'll most likely need something in the December '64 range.
