A lot of Dearborn cars built around the time of yours did not have the decal. I'd leave it off unless you find compelling evidence to prove it should be there.

Didn't know those tires were available, nice touch.

The C6OZ boot is a little different than the earlier one, which is C4OZ-7513-A. I have only ever seen one NOS correct one and that is on the K convertible I restored. It still had the FoMoCo label on it. It fits perfectly around the correct style clutch fork.

Very nice. Where did you get those tires?

Is it the optional Cobra bell-housing?

This is a 66 Shelby. Would the boot be the same as a standard Ford bellhousing?

If it's a standard bell-housing, yes.

Natural steel. With the proper boot, the exposed end can hardly be seen.

Charles, if I installed these on my 66' hipo, would I be docked any points?<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Not in a concours class.

New pair of reproduction K code exhaust manifolds. Paid $150 to have them ceramic coated in a dark gray cast color. Sell for cost of new at $250.

This is the insulator from one end of your clutch return spring. There is supposed to be one on each end.

Your master cylinder should be black. This is a long debated subject, but the more and more original examples found, they all come up as black. I have the correct plugs to put in the line fitting holes if you need them.

You could contact Kevin and ask for him to do a custom search. He has done this for a fee in the past.

Did they do all the early Dearborn cars this way?

Yes, to varying degrees.

What makes you think the reinforcements look welded in? All I see is oil from a pinion leak built up around the area and the seams showing. It looks like a legit hi-po to me, but of course, someone needs to do a careful inspection.

It's the correct service number for a 65-66 rear bumper.

Usually above.

With December '63 castings? No, they would not be correct for a regular production Mustang.

I'm guessing the cluster just had a '66 style bezel installed. But, as mentioned, the metal part of the cluster for a '65 5 dial is different in the ammeter area as it is the loop-through style instead of plug-in.

Forgive me but sometime ago I read that the woodgrain finish is stuck on over the camera case. Is this correct ?. If so a pony cluster could be stripped back and used.

Not on the instrument cluster bezel, but yes on the glove box door.

65-66 A code GT's also had the rebound plate as the rear build-up with the dual exhaust reinforcements was carried over to those cars as well. The rebound bumper would be screwed to the plate on the A code GT's.
