Isn't your car a Fall of '64 Dearborn car? If so, yours may be in that time period that the Arvindoe exhaust was used on hi-po's.

I should pick up the book...Will the C60Z-7A533-C cluth rod boot work for 65 even though its a later part #
If your car used that style of boot/seal, sure.

I will have to disagree on the soldered p/n tag on a '66 Dearborn radiator. Also believe you would be looking for a Z2 for a V8 automatic, but the suffix may have changed that year.
Engineering number stampings would be on the LH (driver) side core support.

do many of you on this site use more modern suspension systems
or stay with the original parts?
Just depends on what folks use their cars for. I think most on this forum would generally try to use OEM or aftermarket that appears and functions like original. For my personal K fastback, I actually plan to use roller perches and a few other minor suspension mods. The car already had the 1" drop done before I got it and has under ride traction bars on the rear. Don't get this one confused with the K convertible I'm doing, which is an nth degree concours restoration!

i removed the front suspension last night
and unfortunately did not preserve the
correct shim count for the upper arms.
is this a major problem on reassembly?
thanks

If I remember right, the Osobrn chassis assembly manual gives a starting point based on body style. Don't think it will be a problem.

It's simply Ford Corporate Blue.

If you're asking about the rotor... I'd have to say it's scrap metal at this point. Ford replacements can be found from time to time and there are aftermarket that are decent, so long as you don't care if they are exactly like original.

I think the one that I took out of the K convertible had been cut or taken out of another car.

Looking for an original rally-pac wiring setup, the loom that plugs into the main harness and powers a high-profile style rally-pac. No cut wires or junk parts. Looking for a real nice original FoMoCo piece.

I've seen the phosphate variety on cars from more than one assembly plant.
I think the main thing to get right is the type of fastener, which has a captured star washer. I would never fuss if it was either zinc or phosphate finish. Of course, just another area of the assembly manuals that gives us something to go by, but doesn't necessarily tell the whole story.

the dyacorn floors for the convertibles do have this dip.
in fact, this convertible floor
is the closest one to my original flooring.
was there much difference between the
cp/FB and the convertible floors?
iowa
I've always been under the impression that the basic floor assembly was the same for all body styles. Convertibles just required additional reinforcement sections and unique seat riser. I have not had to delve into rusty projects that need floors very much, so there may be others willing to share their experiences on what they've found.
-
From what I have seen, appears it was used on all body styles in '65. I have seen some late '65 where the cables didn't go through the holes though. But, instead, were secured to the bottom of the floor pan, kind of like a '66 (but not the same.)

Don't mean to throw a kink into this discussion, but I have removed many original wheel cylinders that had phosphate (dark color) finish. My opinion is that both finishes were used (zinc and phosphate.)

Looking for a pair of original Hipo exhaust manifolds. Would prefer to find ones date coded correct for my Feb. 1966 car. My originals were swapped out for Tri-y's back in the '60s. Please PM or email me directly at brittonwhitworth@hotmail.com if you have a pair for sale.
I have some dated June/July of '65. Dates are on the back.

-Stone Guard
-Front bumper
-Valence
-Bumper guards
Some folks like to install the valence before the front bumper. I find that the clearance for the bumper bolts is to tight when the valence is installed first.
I'd recommend you fit the stone guard and valence before painting.

Not unique to convertibles. The catalog appears to be wrong on that.

Don't have any extras of those. FYI, I'm not a parts dealer, just have spare pieces from time to time.

I posted this stuff back in January! Updated the list. I'll most likely be putting this stuff on fleabay soon.

Can you give me the casting #'s and dates on your HI-PO exhaust manifolds Thanks Bob Moon

Not sure what you mean by different parking brake configuration? In '67 the routing changed. For 65-66, the routing should have been consistent across all 3 body styles for what was being used at any point in production.
