Oil pressure and ammeter if I remember correctly. I know it was changed in '68.

I strongly believe that all K codes would have come from the factory with an 8k tach.
In 65-66, a tach (rally-pac) was strictly an option.
For 67, believe there has been discussion on the topic before. Seems like I remember manual trans cars getting a tach by default, but auto's being optional.

The letters were original highlighted in white.

Hehe, that's ok. Yes, need the shaft that goes into the carb. I had an original re-plated, but buggered it up trying to tighten up the end.

Date code is typically stamped from the reverse side, top middle.
Otherwise, not aware of any major differences. The assembly plant plants installed varying screw types and time of install (before/after paint)

If you can get your hands on a Ford-brand can of Argent, it would be a close match. Otherwise, could dig out the paint code if you need it.

I chose to reinstall the original door plate on the K convertible. Took a 1 point hit for condition, but it's better than having a repro in my opinion.
The rivets can be pushed out from the back side without damaging them. Just use a wooden hammer handle. Of course, the door has to be stripped to get that kind of access to the back side.

The bore size is larger than a typical 480 cfm carb. But, I am not sure if there are non-K code 600cfm carbs with the same shaft. I need the one without any pivot attachments and has no hole on the bottom part of the bracket.

Believe it might have varied between assembly plants. Typically, there is a heavy to light line of body color on the interior side of the door along the bottom, which then follows up in a unison line up into the door weather strip groove on the vertical edges of the door. On the SJ car, a slight bit of body color could be seen where the door curves to go up. If you lay a piece of tape in the vertical groove and just let it roll around the bottom, you'll see what I mean.

Need a primary throttle shaft for a '65 600cfm carb. Not sure if other big Ford's use the same piece as the K code version?
Prefer NOS or original that I can restore.

The 65-66 distribution block needs to be changed to a later style to enable the safety benefits of a dual reservoir setup.

Are you asking about the Accent Stripe?

The carpet is ACC, in what I believe is the new Ralylon material. It actually looks and fits very well. But, for the Thoroughbred, I should have the correct carpet in the car.
I did cut the carpet a little short on the LH front. I used an original carpet to cut the new one, but the mold at the seat riser was a little different and nixed me.

That horn wire black-out with sound deadener is only a San Jose thing. The other plants usually just used a black brush to get them, or didn't do anything at all.
Carpet always goes on top of the firewall pad. The one in the K convertible is repro, which received a deduction. Will continue to look for a correct original or NOS.

As I posted earlier, they had already looked at the car quite a bit before they did the actual judging. If they had walked up fresh, without viewing it previously, I would suspect it would have taken an hour or more. The judges are also very experienced, so that probably helped things move along quicker.

They looked at it off and on Friday afternoon and then Saturday morning before actually judging. I think they probably spent 30-45 minutes doing the actual judging.

Try some Evapo-rust, which can be bought at places like Harbor Freight or ordered online. You'll have to soak rags in it and wrap the pipes, followed by a wrapping of plastic so they won't dry. This will remove most of the rust.
Otherwise, you might try steel wool and polish, depending on how rusty they are.

The K convertible was built before the GT option was available.
My K fastback is also the same.
