I run those 80K mile tires on my daily driver car and love them! I had no idea they were available in a white wall. Let us know when you have a chance to visually inspect them and please post a picture when you can, showing the stripe dimensions. If all works out for you, I'll be ordering a set for my mustang, too!!!

    Hey Troy.

The size I'm getting that have the white stripe is 195/75/R14. The white stripe is .6" or roughly 15mm. The original 1965 stripe was 7/8" but I couldn't find any modern radial with that width. The price per tire was $58 USD.

So after sitting for about 10 days, I fired it up last night. It was cool here - about 50 degrees. Ran perfectly for 30 minutes, with no stalling out. I didn't do a thing since I've noticed the problem. It was a warm day (about 80-85) last time I drove it and noticed the problem. It was sitting at a show all day after a 40 minute drive. At the end of the day, had trouble with the starting and stalling at stops.

Exactly what my problem was, try a different coil like a pertronix flamethrower. Mine now drives perfectly since I switched. When I show the car I'll put the yellow top in when I reach my destination.

I believe this is false advertising when it states

    289 Hi-Po K-code, don't you guys agree?

Definitely false advertising. Hemmings should be alerted to the fact too. Nothing worse than people trying to get away with this kind of rubbish.

My 5 cents worth )we don't have 2 cents anymore.

I'm afraid I'll never get better than 4 or 5 points deducted as I have no intention of ever putting bias ply tires back on the kar.

Why not have a second set of original rims with bias ply tires for when you show the kar? That's what I'm planning to do.

    Well done, congrats.

Considering that there were only around 489 K codes in total in 67, let alone fastbacks with luxury interior, yes I would guess this was a rare colour. I haven't seen any 67 with this colour.

Anyone near the kar that would be willing to chase down some details and pics? The guys name is James V Johnson (Thank you Google).

    Hey Troy.

If you have a spare coil, try putting that on the kar and giving it a go. I had a similar problem with mine. When it got to driving temp it died. I couldn't restart until it cooled down, then it died again. Every time I put the clutch in it died.

Further info, idling was very rough and I had to continually keep the revs up to prevent stalling.

    Hi all.

Does anyone know at what point the Steel styled Wheels changed in paintouts from Argent to Charcoal? My K is an April 1965 Kar. I'm looking to put new wheels on and would like to put the proper ones on it.

    Thanks in advance.

Rene, going back to your question if the fan was for a 64 k code, it is a july build date fan so would it be possible for it to be close enough to be correct on an aug or sept 65 k code mustang ?

    Hey Chuck.

I would think that is possible. Parts of all types carried over into the 65 if they were left over I'm lead to believe.

The best guy to ask is Fred Ballard (c6zzkgt). He knows this stuff inside out.

    Hope this helps.

I just wanted to take time out to remember the victims of 9/11 and their familes and offer my thoughts. I hope this is ok with the members here.

To those souls that were lost on 9/11, I hope you have found peace.

To those who lost loved ones in the tragedy, I hope everyday is getting better for you.

To those who have taken up the fight against the cowards who brought terror to those families and the city of New York, thank you and God watch over you all and bring you safely back to your loved ones, too many lives have been lost already.

Six years on and I still can't believe 9/11 happened. I'll never understand the type of people that can cause this kind of carnage and kill in the name of their God. We all have the one God. On the day you all meet your maker, I pray you reap what you have sown.

My humblest sympathies for all the victims, not just off 9/11, but all over this world. I'm sure God sheds a tear while he watches over what happens below.
