    I have a very nice 5C4 dated HiPo flywheel, C3OE-6380B casting number. It doesn't look like it's ever been resurfaced. Part of the orange paint daub is still there and the Brinnel hardness mark is plainly visible. The guy I bought it from said it came from his 65 GT350 but no way to verify that.

    I'd like to trade it for one in the same condition dated Jan. or Feb. 66.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Echlin makes a very high quality aftermarket replacement, part number CS756. They are sold at NAPA stores here in the USA. Not sure if you can get them in Australia but maybe someone there can cross reference the number...

    NOS 65-66 PCV valve for all 289 engines including K-code and GT350. Ford part# C5AZ-6A666-A1, engineering number stamped on the valve body is C5AE-6A666-A. This is the very rare hex base valve with non-threaded hose connection. Includes the original AC box. Yes, AC was an OE supplier to Ford for these valves. $85, includes shipping.

    Thanks Fred. I've seen the 2.44 inch spacer listed in the MPC, that's where the confusion starts. Bob Mannel's SBF book doesn't list a 2.44 inch spacer for any 67 Mustang application, the closest being 2.74" (with or w/o T/E) or 2.18 (with A/C) and does not show a HiPo specific spacer like 65-66. It does list the 66 Fairlane hang on A/C spacer as 2.42"

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Looking for info on the 67 K-code/GT350 fan spacer, some confusing info out there....

    What is the correct total length including pilot?

    Are there several correct lengths depending on engine options or only one?

    The 65-66 spacer is HiPo specific, is this the same for the 67 spacer(s) or is it also used in non-HiPo applications?

    Thanks!

    Dave

    Fred is absolutely correct, his info matches what I posted earlier as referenced in Bob Mannel's book. Bob even makes note that fuel pump dating (day, month, year) is different from the more typical year, month, day format. I have two original fuel pumps. One is an original 66 4193S CARbureTER casting that was restored by Fred and has a 14A6A date code. The other is a NOS 4201S CARTER casting with a 22A9A date. The day, month, year format is the only one that makes sense. Also, according to Bob's book this format was started in 1965 and used at least through 1969.

    Dave

    According to Bob Mannel's SBF book fuel pumps used a day, month, and year format (pg. 5-25) making this a 1969 pump. It codes for March 5th, 1969, 2nd shift (?).

    5 = 5th day

    C = March (3rd month)

    9 = 1969

    B = 2nd shift (?)

    Does the body have CARTER or CARbureTER cast in it?

    Interesting topic. I also have never seen the choke cable mounted anywhere except by the LH kick panel. I have one period mag article (Aug. 66 M/T) showing it mounted in that location on the supercharged 66 GT350, can't quite make that area out on the stock GT350 but it doesn't appear to be under the ignition switch.

    ...and the latest admission by the seller that the engine won't turn over...<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Actually he says "also the motor does turn over."

    Anyone have an idea what this radiator is? Any history on the soldered alphabet 3/8" square tag like mine and Brant's?

    Anyone know if under the soldered tag is an embossed letter being covered up?

    When I first saw the 6-65 radiator Brant now owns, I had never seen anything like that. Since then I have seen, or heard of, three others including the 6-64 one Ray has.

    Where is that 10/65 radiator you used to own now that I need it.

    Isn't that the way it goes.

    Any idea if the guy that bought it actually installed it? Maybe he just sat it back and burnt out on the project. No such luck huh.

    The pic that Round2K sent me looks like 12 64 if my magnifing glass serves me correctly and it has the C4ZE Y2 stamping.

    The 10-65 radiator is going in a 66 early Hertz GT350, traded it for the 2-66 which now sits in my car.

    I agree, the date in Dave's pic is 12-64.

    Not sure when the C4ZE and Y2 (or other designation) stamping was eliminated from the San Jose radiators but believe it was before Sept. '65. My 2-66 rad does not have those stamps, neither did the 10-65 rad I used to own. I've seen a 9-65 without them as well.

    I think it would be fairly easy to figure out when the stampings were dropped with some more input from others on this site.
