Here we go again: Seller claims 1 of 26 ever built!! He also uses the page out of the registry (scan) to prove it. Misleading? You decide.

I have 2 of these reproductions from VA Classic Mustang for my Mustangs. They are excellent!!
There is a difference in sampling "prevalance" from current registry data, and quoting actual things similar to what Marti does (he has ALL the data on '67 and up from Ford) such as 1 of 31, or all the 1 of 1 crap. Just because only one '67 K code with a bench seat may or may not be reported in this registry (that is really only known and available to internet savy people) doesn't mean it's a 1 of 1 production rarity. I think that is what the original post is hinting to in the query.
Many people who are familiar with Mustangs and even those more familiar with seeing Marti report type data DO NOT understand that the data does not exist for the earlier cars. I have even had arguments with so called "experts" on this topic who insist that Marti reports are available for ALL Mustangs. They are also probably going to assume that the statistics posted to sell a car are from a similar or identical source which must be reliable and comprehensive/conclusive. Anybody who actually knows what the "HiPo Registry" is, knows enough to understand that figures from it are only representative of a small volunteered sampling of cars. Anybody else who sees the reference from a car sales advertisement for the first time will likely be terribly misled, whether intentionally or not.

After having mine all apart a few months ago, I also don't see the point in adding the sealer. The drip gutter and attached hose drain should be fine to deal with any water.
I would avoid using it at all to promote a car for sale. It's just too easy to misinterpret.
Nice progress. You also sure know your way around your camera in all those tight spaces getting the lighting perfect. Excellent job!
Impressive restoration (as expected) and awesome photo documentation!
Bummer! I hope you get her repaired to your satisfaction. I can imagine the disspointment you must be feeling. When we my dad and I took delivery of his GT350H, we didn't get 100 miles when the HiPo C4 blew out on us on the way home. At least it was still driveable. Just had to keep dumping fluid in it until we made it home. You may want to call the previous owner and politely explain to him what happened. We did so, and he ended up sending us all the parts we needed to properly rebuild the transmission as well as the parts we needed for correct Shelby brakes we noticed needing replacement.
AMEN!!! I will be ordering one with my next batch of stuff I'll eventually be needing. I lost $30 shipping charges on my last reproduction garbage piece that was promised as a FORD NOS part from another shady vendor (as you may remember). Great to have this desireable part now available.

Do you get any movement in the bar without the additional holes being done?

No.

My '65 clone only has 2 of the 4 bolt holes in use as well with no problems that I am aware of.
I'm thinking of swapping my Toploader in the '65 (no K code) with a T-5. Toploader works fine and doesn't leak. Any idea what the value of the Toploader (complete with Hurst shifter) would be if I were to try and sell it? Wondering how much of the cost I can recoup on the conversion....
Thanks,
Troy
why no pic of the choke assy or the choke stop to verify if it's a real HiPo carb or just another clone?
No way to verify that claim exists.
Seems like a nice deal for a nice car. Does it still have all the HiPo goodies with the car (you mention non #s matching)?
So for those with C and A codes back in the 60's, what did the over the counter Engine Dress Up Kit consist of? Was there a HiPo sticker on the air cleaner lid?
Wow, nice quick profit.....
At least it isn't a San Jose car, but most people know SAAC can determine which VINs were Shelbys. Most don't know yet how powerful our own little K code registry can be to help future buyers of these types of cars.
oooh, I like this car.

Great photos. Thank you for sharing. That looks like a fun setup!

Next time you are in the area I'll take you for a ride in the Konvertible! Our big show is on June 6th and is not to be missed for the Ford Powered lover....
