sold - pending. I put an ad in craigslist and all the locals jumped on it. I really didn't want to ship these, so sorry....

Wheels and tires are still available. I had an early response to this ad, but I never got any money...

Larry,
Thanks for the tip - We'll keep an extra eye out for those Texans!

I'm not sure who will get it, but good chance you may see one of these gals in 20 years driving my K...

Yep, Krylon rattle can. Almost impossible to screw up with the new can and nozzel system. The key is the prep (I'm sure you've heard that before) I left the engine in and cleaned everything several times, lots of grinding and sanding, but not to bare metal except where I had to remove factory runs/drips - feathered it out and wet sanded. The painting part was easy and only took a few minutes.
Yep, I used SS bolts under the hood b/c I like how they look and are easy to maintain. I know they aren't "correct", but it was what I wanted and I don't regret it.

I'm thinking of buying a truck, and was wondering if anybody may have a little time to check it out for me since I'm way up here in MN. It's a '96 Dodge Indy Ram and you know how people like to describe their junk...

Krylon Rust Tough Semi Flat enamel. That's what I used and it worked great!

At the 25th annual All Ford show here in MN yesterday, we had a great turnout. 400 Ford powered vehicles, mostly Mustangs, and the weather was sunny and 80 degrees. There were nearly 20 pre-registered cars in my class ('65-66 stock Mustang) and about 25-30 showed up to compete. I had the only K code there, and also managed to get 1st place in my class. Considering my car is a driver and I've never really cared much about trophys, it was nice to have my car recognized at such a nice event. Thank you all here for helping me along with my car whenever I need help. I appreciate it.
I also learned of a 14K mile '64 Konvertible for sale in town I'm hoping to check out. I'll be sure to take good pictures for all the experts here to help evaluate.

I want to put seatbelts in my fastback, but can't seem to get the rear seat bottom out without excessive force. I don't want to break anything by forcing it further. Is it different than the convertible, b/c I have no problem removing the seat in my 'vert. Any ideas to help me along?
Thanks,
Troy

Does anybody have a pic of an original carb spacer? Was the thickness 1 1/8". Mine has a seam through the middle and was wondering if it was correct?

Cool - That's what I thought. Boy, it doesn't give you much wiggle room/error when triming the new carpet install though!

What's the proper piece to put around the shifter on a late '66 4 speed without a console? The simple small chrome boot retainer that does not screw into place, or the larger base plate with the 4 screws?
Thanks,

Charles, this must be your first post seeking information instead of always providing it. I would go the 65 route (:

Has anybody switched to Petronix Ignitor 2 ignition - I like that it maintains a stock look and was wondering if anybody has done it and realized performance/economy gains.
I also was wondering if it works with our stock Coils since it wants a 12v source optimally. I could get a Flame Thrower coil and paint the top yellow, but they appear to be much longer and would possibly not fit in the stock location without hitting the dip stick or sticking up way too high?
Any insights? Does anybody know the difference in size between the stock coil and the Flame Thrower?

It's a crap shoot guessing game. I tried to do the creative math on my '66, but there is no definitive data. Your car is rare, that is for sure.

I just finally replaced my Holley with the correct Autolite 4100. Everything bolted up just fine, even got it started. So I got to put the air cleaner stud in (figured I'd re-use the Holley one) and the stud is way too small, or I'm missing a threaded boss altogether. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? I know I'm pretty dim..
Also, does anybody have a picture of the correct placement for the throttle return spring?
Thanks,
Troy
