Started with a DAWN soap and water wash, then clay bar over entire car. Rewash, and then Polish with orange pad, repeat with white. Follow up with Sealer (2 coats) with grey pad. Man, this takes time. Not sure I'll do it again anytime soon.
The garage shots are interesting to get that much reflection on a metallic paint. See bright sun shots - Car totally changes in the light.

no brainer - ARVINODE

Didn't get a chance to see it today. Just too darn busy and the auction area was too far away from my vending spot!

Looks like the one that was on ebay a couple of times - they were trying to sell it before it was even completed. It was from Rochester, which makes sense for this location. I'll check it out tomorrow (Saturday).

Good for you - Next task is to install a FULL length console with the shifter in place. It's so much fun!
-
Also - sorry no pics. I was too busy to even attempt pics. I was there with my booth busy talking to customers and shooting cars for show boards. Nothing really worth photographing, except maybe a real nice freshly restored '66 GT350. It was Saphire blue with White stripes. Very nice!!

No, our SAAC club show here in MN.

My K took first in it's class - that was cool! There were about 10 '65-66 cars there. Two others had Hi-Po 289 badges, but not a HiPo VIN, and at least 6 cars had 289 HiPo air cleaner stickers. Gotta love it!
One guy was looking over my car very carefully. He kept asking me if it was a real 271 HP engine and all this/that. Even with 2 showboards laying out the details, he was very unbelieving and skeptical. He later shared he had a K code at home.
There was an early '65 GT (non K) there that a friend of mine just got. It has a March 26 scheduled build date, Dearborn car, and he believes it may be a pre-production GT. It looks very unmolested to me, and was white with black interior (standard of course). All the pieces are there and the only thing that I didn't like was the location of the fog switch. It wasn't next to the power top like my car, but was much further under the dash. The dash was lipped to accomodate the 5 dial cluster - looked kind of "rolled", but not cut.

Yea, but I don't think PONY carbs is selling the choke parts seperately.....I could be wrong?
-
Some pics/references would be helpful.

When I first viewed it on my wife's laptop (bad screen), it looked really washed out and even a bit ivy goldish. I still think it looks two-toned after a second look, though. Is that amount of contrast with doors and panels normal?
-
I wouldn't use those ebay photos for reference. Many things wrong with that interior!

Welcome Jerry - Looking forward to following the progress on your car.

Beagle1's car is right here staring at you wondering what you are waiting for. I think you will searching for many years to find the perfect car you are describing - maybe decades.

I'm going to run 0w20 and see what happens. I don't use the car in the winter anyway, but if I did, I'd go with a multiweight oil. Ideally, when warm, you want a 1:100 ratio - 3000 RPM = 30 PSI. For a 5-6K RPM engine, any more than 50-60 PSI in that range is too much. For me, my concern is also at 3000 RPM and idle, when I'm still getting 60-70 PSI.
Here's some good (long) reading on the subject. Don't give up until you get to the good stuff at the end!

I have similar pressures on my Tribute. I was recently told that due to the High volume pump and resultant pressure to use LIGHTER weight oil. 0-20 wasn't even out of the question.

I don't have any information on the engine build details other than 302 heads ('69), S1MS intake, Tri-Ys, Holley 650 DP, Mallory unilite ignition. Toploader and 9" rear (unknown ratio). 6 pulls with tweaking between each of them kept yielding the same result - 211 RWHP, 250 TQ at 5200 RPM. He stopped it at 5500 RPMs - tires were smoking in the rear at 125 MPH! They are H rated, so there you have it.

some vids of my fastback at the Chassis Dyno.. Warning: This isn't a K code.
