the prices were steep in NY as well. As for quality, I would say it seems to be inconsistent. But as mentioned above, they have a good record, recently at least, of trying to make things right.
Have you called them to express your dissatisfaction?
Z. Ray
there are so many, it's hard to keep track of them all, & impossible to post on them all. They are like new shoes, you just have to try them on & check the fit.
Don't overlook LOCAL Mustang Club forums. They don't have the traffic the national ones do, but they are great for part swapping or sales without the long distance hassles.

He made a '66 repro for me a few years ago that turned out fine. Looked great, ran great. Others have had different results. But they have done five carbs for me over the years and I've been completely satisfied with every one.
some have complained of a gruff attitude when dealing with the owner, but I've never had a problem with him.

my '66 9 inch rear has no drain, therefore, no drain bolt.

look on ebay every day. In the not too distant past I found a lot of three Autolite carbs listed. Nothing in the description mentioned Hi-Po or 1.12, etc. so those keywords in a search would have gotten you nowhere. I emailed the seller and got the stamped numbers off the footpads. So for under $ 75.00 I got a Hi-Po carb core that was totally rebuildable. Plus two other less rare Autolite carbs.
of course there are a zilion Mustang vendors that specialize in NOS are rare parts. I will try to post a partial list
You just need a little luck, and a lot of patience.

I really don't understand the point of the snide comments. If you think an item is overpriced, just don't buy it. If everybody feels the same way the seller will get the message without the extraneous personal barbs.
That said, I fully support the 2nd amendment & all freedom of speech.

what do they know anyway ! Besides, what is the definition of a "personal day' ? Remember, it's not a benefit if it doesn't benefit YOU.

glad to help. You'll be providing the info next time, that's the beauty of it.

stock springs, lowered a-arms.

Since I'm not your buyer, I hope you get your asking price. That would be a sign the economy is turning around.
good luck,

This is very subjective.
What looks good to one person is going to look all wrong to someone else. Here's one opinion; If you want 15" wheels, this is what I would do. Put 215/65-15 all around. With that size you don't really need 8" wheels in back. And you've got enough sidewall to keep that vintage look.
A more commonly used size would be 225/60-15. But you may have roll the front fenders to get that size to fit.
Either one would be wider that the stock size which is 185/75-14

You can get the Radial T/A in either size. Or if you can do without the raised white letters, I'd recommend the BF Goodrich Traction T/A, a much better tire performance wise.

most rattles can be reduced by adding a shims or washers to the shifter arms at the rods.
I would shift at the maximum HP rpm. Probably closer to 6000.

I'm sure this fascinating to some, but I suspect I can speak for many, ... let's just get back to the cars, and leave the bickering for face to face real life, and keep the forum a place for informational exchange.....

I'm going to Alastaro to test my K-code performance and i need some tips how to get fast start with manual transmission without breaking anything?
let the clutch take the abuse. It's the cheapest part of the drivetrain. You can burn out several clutches for the price of one transmission.
find the lowest rpm that will let you launch without bogging, and let the clutch out as fast as possible without wheel spin.
It just takes practice, and some experimentation.

why keep the price a secret ?
Everybody benefits from knowing the asking price. Please post it as per the forum rules.

The flywheel I have came off of a HiPo engine. I bought the bell-housing, top-loader, and flywheel/clutch assembly a few years back.
The clutch is definitely a Hi-Po clutch, but I can't find any casting numbers on the flywheel. The only markings are the letters "Weber" & a "B". Unless someone can chime in with an ID, I'll have to guess that the flywheel is an after-market piece (157 teeth btw)

think I have one, will ck. on the condition and post later tonight.

The repro intakes have two separate passageways at the carb mounting surface, the originals have 4 passageways.
