How would you go about finding the info for door tag?Does the fenders etc.have date codes on them like some of the other Ford cars?I too would like to replace lost door tag.

Unfortually everyone who has a Mustang or 289 has a Hipo car or motor but without more specifics other then a lame pic and description saying it is so just don't make it so.GOOD parts are getting alittle tougher to find these days but don't justify the RAPE prices some people want for their stuff and not even the going rate but is for them since it belongs to them!

One of these just sold for $300 on E-Bay that was "newly redone" item #190066550767 and some of these so called reputable dealers want alot more then the going price?

I can tell you from experience that anything that hardens good will do.Devcon or JB WELD etc. will work but several companies sell stuff just for that job.Get you some quality base coat and do alot of prep and wheel will turn out great.Need a super good enamel clear coat as I've done alot of them with NO problems.The shine will tone down with alittle driving so leave shine alone....Good Luck

All Cloyes did with their double roller chain set up was to index the crank sprocket off the original hole and take cutter and drill a hole for the pin to locate the counter weight.Not that tough to do if your know what your doing.

That part number is specified for the 289 Hipo only.Fairly tough to get frpm what I see as that washer is alot thicker then standard washer on 289.Has to do with the balancer is why Ford redesigned the washer.Good part about buying repop is because it's on the balancer noone will see it but never had repop to see what the thickness is compared to an original.Anybody have any imput on the difference if there is any in original and repop thickness?

Why can't you run a double roller chain with the counter weight as the sprocket is the same thickness but has double row of teeth?

The Edelbrock,Weiand and Shelby's stuff were all casted by the same companys back in the old days.Logo was changed along with firing order or part number on intake per spec.Great intakes for 2500-7500 range as dual plane makes good low end torque curve thru upper mid range.Colt 65 intake was made for Weiand and sold but they later changed the name on intake several times.

Are those both Hipo pumps and did they change the design later?I've seen the button tops with filters on Hipo motors and ones without filters on mid to late 66-67 and read both are correct depending on the year?

Wanted to know how may button top fuel pump numbers did they make for the different year Hipo's and did the pump change in latter years?Read alot about the subject and wanted some imput?

I've got a set of brand new .030 forged pistons.
