I ran into the same problem with my 64.5 K race car.Every time I turned somewhere to try and gather info a wall was there.Being persistent finally paid off for me sometime later also as I finally confirmed alot of the stories, got photo's and record certificates to boot!

Have been researching the cars history and came up with some AHRA record certificates and original pictures of the car in the early days.Body is still in line to be blasted but most of all the body parts are blasted and primed waiting it's reunion.Unbelievable how this car still looks after all these years and hardly no miles makes it worth doing.Am documenting all the parts of the car for album at a later date.

What type of color is vert?

All good points have been presented but make sure you true the deck and heads and please use a high quality head gasket as that's where the only problem will present itself if you stand on it!

Was it uncommon or standard to have a car with black seats and white headliner?I've always seen cars with same headliner and interior and seen an original car the other day with white headliner and black seats and carpet.

Jeff, how much for intake and what condition is it in?

I believe that is a 1965 Dearborn car.

Intakes of that era are not bringing that kind of money.E-Bay is not the average or standard what something is worth or price paid for an item as they get listed, bumped, relisted until they find that sucker with deep pockets. It's like that almost everywhere now as it's all about the mighty dollar!

They built alot of them but haven't seen many around lately.I have a friend who has a plain jane 6 cyl. car that is delete of any options and his is a Fairlane and not a Torino. He detailed it and it looks good but no frill car that was made for the masses.I suspect that someone has messed with the emblems as they were not badged both ways?

I've got an early 63 dated Hipo motor with Hipo caps and C2OE-B rear main that I just pulled from an original car?

My car is delete of any seam sealer, sound deadner, under coating, radio or heater.Rear suspension has weld on bars and cross member installed in car and came with factory bubble fiberglass hood.Car was special ordered for dealership and was one of the twelve done to compete in stock class racing.AHRA at the time had a F5/GS class that alot of guys ran these cars in.Ed Terry,Bob Hamilton and Billy Edwards were some names that had cars for stock class. They are pretty RARE cars as almost all were fastbacks but coupes were alot lighter and set most of the records and are hard to find today. This car of mine is being restored but is forsale?
