hi
i'm talking about the rubber grommets
that the fuel lines go thru in the shock towers
and the electrical wire that goes across the upper
back part of the gas tank
and then exits thru the hole and down to the
gas sending unit on the gas tank
there is a rubber gommet here also
are they the same?
iowa
hmmmmm..
no one knew about this 'gap?'
how about this one:
are the grommets for the shock tower fuel lines
the same one as used in the trunk area for the
gas sending wire?
thanks
iowa
here is the part in NPD catalog page 113
is it the right one?

thanks for the email
looks like a great Kar
wished i'd seen it B-4 i bought my current one
will give it some thot
Dave
thanks for all the trouble to scan them!
really appreciate it!
BTW, i just use Adobe Acrobat program
and scan color documents or photos to PDF files.
works great,
but, of course, the Adobe program
(not Adobe Reader, which is free)
is pretty $$$$$$$$
thanks again
i remember removing the dash pad from my K kar
and wasn't to lucky to find such a sheet
Iowa
A little humor for my day!!
i have the book
but need a good 'exploded' view
that shows every detail
iowa
it's on page 113
and says that it is for the later 5.0 engines
the bell H bolt pattern is the same
so should fit on our 302 block etc.

after having restored:
'63 VW beatle (1st car!)
'56 vette
'42 wwii ford jeep
'42 wwii willys jeep
'44 wwii WLA motorcycle
'66 mustang (my son's, a partial restoration)
i have found the secret to set a 'tiny' goal for each day!
a lot of days this means just doing a bit of reasearch
for what you'll be doing the next day.
it this slow 'chipping away' that gets the job done!!
iowa
i'll be bold and reply.
i don't think it matters what shape this car is in
unless he left it sit outside
and it has had further decline.
it is worth at least what you sold it for
and then a 'little more!!'
the 'little more' would be
the interest he lost during the time he owned it
and whatever 'blue sky' it would take for him to part w/it.
if you try to waggle him down from your original price
it would reflect bad on ya
now, if he was getting a divorce and needed to get rid of it....
(like my '56 vette i bought for 5K 30 yrs ago....)
just my 2 cents
iowa
could you post a picture?
iowa
i would be interested in seeing a photo
of this build sheet as well
thanks
iowa
does anyone have a picture of
the actual linkage to the carb lever?
thanks
iowa
on my son's '66
we painstakingly scraped all this undercoating off
thinking it was not original!![]()
now i have a feeling it was
and we should have left it there
and simply painted over it
iowa
thanks
we'll check it out
iowa
we are going to use the standard clutch linkage setup
but are not sure the hole for the equalizer bar pivot
is in the right place.
we have an engine plug by the front arrow
and thot that the rear arrow indicates where
the placement aught to be
is this true?
we're wondering if this is a 302 block
and if it is,
how does one hook up the equalizer bar to the engine?
thanks

another Q
in the diagram below
what is the part indicated by the top arrow?
also, the encircled fraction is supposed to represent a 'gap'
what is this gap?
thanks

still looking for pics of the wire loom above radiator.
also, as we are doing my son's '66,
i am buying parts for my K kar.
does anyone have a picture that shows a bottom
view of the equalizer bar BELOW the exh manifold
where it hooks into the engine?
thanks
iowa
fred
